I installed the Inez 5/7 drop over the weekend and my tie rods are bottomed out making my toe out of wack. I haven't trimmed the tire rods I'm not sure if I need to trim the outer or the inner one that's attached to the rack. I only cut 1-1/2 coils out back i am thinking of taking out another half coil.

Easier to cut the outer tie rod end, either end works, but the outer is far easier to get at. Wind the jam nut on ,and carefully use a cut-off disc in a side /angle grinder ,clean up the threads a bit before you wind the jam nut off and on a couple times and you'll be good to go.

I took a look at my suspension and the jam nut is pretty much at the end of the thread of the inner tie rod it cant go any further looks like i will have to cut 3/8 out of the outer and inner tie rods to get the toe into spec. I will give it a shot this weekend.

Thanks guys.

You have a good point there, I need to do this as well...

What shocks are you running and what are the tire dimension>

I am running 265/40/22 front and back. With the belltech 2/4 I was running QA1 all around, now that I went with the Inez drop arms I swapped out the front to the stock shocks and springs left the qa1’s out back.

How difficult was the arm install? I already did the cut brackets, just need to sort the front.

Up front is fairly simple and straight forward, remove and reinstall. I still need to trim the tie rods but thats simple enough. The rear is a pain especially on the ground with a jack and stands.

Thinking about changing my tire size with my 4/6 drop to the following:

Front 285/40/22
Rear 305/40/22

I am sitting right now on 285/45/22 all around and I get some slight rubbing on big dips and tight turns on the front..

Anyone with this set up???

I'm running 305/45/22 tires in all 4 corners with no issues.

I'm guessing a different wheel width and offset between the two of you guys would make a difference regardless of tire size. what wheels and offset are each of you using?

All 4 corners are 22x9.5 with a +25 offset and an extra 1" spacer to clear the a arms.

All 4 tires are 305/45/22.

I think the offset on the r/t wheels is +19. and your width is a half inch narrower.
that may explain it. they would be sitting farther out in the wheel well, closer to the fender lip than the +25 offset, which would sit further into the wheel well... I think? or, do I have that backwards (it's early lol)

His would be sitting closer to the truck by 0.7" on each corner after you factor in my spacers. Basically puts me at a 0 offset.

Ok everyone, check your rear control arm brackets. My drop is less than 2 years old with less than 30k miles on it got under it today because I've been hearing a lot of noise lately, and well.... all 4 of my rear control arm brackets that come with the kit are cracking, with 1 of them being almost all the way cracked in half. Co tacted Inez, waiting to hear back on what he says about this. Not sure what type of warranty there is on it, or if I'm just sol.
