Muffler that won’t drone?

Wanting to get more noise out of the ram. I can’t have any drone or very little. It’ll drive me nuts. Been reading about guys praising the borla XR1 anyone else out there running XR1s?

Also what size is the pipe? I’m guessing the standard 2.5”? And what length muffler do I need for a direct fit? Thanks for the help

Yeah no that’s why I want a muffler with no drone. I know they’re out there and I want to keep my mds.

Im looking at the qtp cutout... MDS shouldn't matter with that, and if your on a long drive you can turn it off.

I have a Borla ProXS muffler on my truck. No drone and sounds great. It doesn't set car alarms off though....i.e. not too loud. Do a search for my posts if you want to hear some clips and see what I used for a driveway install. I'm still very happy with the setup and get asked about it pretty regularly.

As for measurements...you want a 3" inlet with 2.25" outlets. My muffler has an 18" body with an extension pipe.

K&N exhaust were made my JBA so you can still kind of get them. Great exhaust either way.

corsa is one that won't drone. You definitely pay a pretty penny for their system though

Borla XS pro/ Caravan Tips here no drone. Slightly louder then stock. A nice grunt when your on it yet tame when your just cruising. I was all set up buying a full Corsa exhaust until I thought about it to much money for a different sound since there won’t be a noticeable performance increase.

A Corsa catback wont drone and we are having a sale on them but it will be a lot more money than a muffler or muffler kit.

Corsa is the only one I know of... or get what you want and then get the J pipe. I saw this title though and laughed lol good luck

I would agree, Borla if you can afford it. I replaced my cabin drone, harmonics Flowmaster with a engineered for Hemi Magnaflow. Great outside sound no head ache in the cab.

Get the 22" Magnaflow direct kit from Mufflex or B2Fab.
