Does the mufflex24 have a noticible drone? I've been considering this one w/o the drone kit.

You need to go to the above link/site. Put in your specific application and you will see that you will have 6-8 muffler choices for your application. You can then select the shape, size, finish etc that you want.

when I do that for my application it only shows full cat back kits

I just swapped out a Magnaflow 14" for a Borla Pro XS muffler this morning. The Magnaflow (aka magnadrone) was very loud between 1600-1900 rpms (drone inside the cab). I liked the outside sound that the Magnaflow made, but the drone was just too much for me. So far the Borla seems to sound about the same tone wise, but is much quieter inside the cab...no drone at any rpm (though I've only driven a few miles since the swop). It's early on, but my initial impression of the Pro XS is very positive. Nice deep sound overall....relatively quite at idle and just cruising, and a nice growl when getting on it. I noticed going down the interstate this morning, that I can still hear the exhaust, but the drone is no longer present.....what a relief. BTW, I also have Moe's 5" tips.

Not that I notice. However, I am darn near deaf as a stump.
From that Train Horn going off 200 times a day and the locomotive itself is noisy as all get out.

My Wife who hears everything , no matter how low I mumble, said it sounds better, regarding drone. she noticed it on the OEM muffler and di not liek it , at all.

EDIT: Pretty sure the 24 Inch mufflex is my magnaflow 12388. Seems to me, the shorter the muffler, the more drone. another reason I went with the 12388

How do Corsa and MBRP cat back exhaust compare?

SpinTech 9000 does not drone at all.

Gibson mwa race muffler. You can find em for less than 80 bucks, stainless steel and well built. Minimal noise at 60 and above, damn near quiet inside above 75. Only time I would say i get any noise that bothers me is lugging up a hill. The black widow widowmaker is also good loud around town, but fairly tame on the freeway.

I have the Corsa, and Nick is exactly correct. A bit loud at start/warm up and WOT but almost OE quiet at cruise. The Corsa is a bit more raspy than the MBRP though which (from what I have heard) has a deeper more mellow sound.

I have a Black widow exhaust muffler on my truck absolutely love it, more aggressive sounding then stock without the drone

I put a Gibson Cat back on my 96 and loved it. It lasted a good 15 years till the seam rusted out but that was my fault for installing it facing up. The sound and power was great. With the stock muffler at 3000 rpms the engine sounding like it was going to explode with the Gibson I could easily reach 4500 and it was not straining the motor.

I have the set up welded in......no cab drone , but not very loud except under throttle.......

I have gone with the Borla XR1. Got it installed and there is virtually no drone at all. Only time I ever hear any hint of a drone is going 35 mph.

The ram doesn’t have true duals. One muffler. 1 inlet 2 outlets. That’s why I got the y pipe 3 inch inlet. 2, 2.25inch outlets. The muffler itself is 16 inches long.
