I don't know why you're so against a 2500 gasser considering you only have a 1500. Not everyone's wants and needs and budget require a diesel. Yes they will out pull a gasser. That's been established. So unless you plan on paying for everyone to upgrade to a diesel, pipe down on the diesel is the only option garbage. Owned both know what both are capable of, know what I need. Don't need to be told what I should get

I'm not complaining about gas mileage. I'm not bashing a gas 2500. You just seem to have a awful hard on for bashing anyone who has a gas 2500. So unless you are paying for upgrades, cut the sh*t. It's not about being cool it's about function. You want to be cool buy a riced out Honda with a fart can

He's just lashing out because he's mad at himself for not buying a 2500 Hemi instead of a 1500.

I'd like to see a 1500 hooked to my 30FBW. Without propane or 4k Onan on the tongue WnP rates it at over 1600 lbs tongue weight. The delivery driver brought it up with a 01 3500 drw diesel with aftermarket overloads and it squatted his truck about 4".

I was mad I didn't get a 2500 instead of my 1500. But I realized I was done wasting time and got much 2500. I also didn't and wouldn't buy a gas 2500 or 3500.

Buddy, not only is your truck stock not rated to pull the weight of my trailer but you don't have the payload. Hell, your class IV hitch isn't even rated for that much tongue weight. Then all the stuff you added only decreases it's ability to actually do work.

You have a nice looking 1500. But while you are looking at yours, I'll be working mine with a capability and economy yours is currently unable to match.

Is a diesel better at towing? Yup. But a diesel isn't the right choice for everyone. And that's why there is a choice.

Hopefully someday you can finally get that F250 diesel with a lift, level and 40's so you can look like every other leveled f250 when the springs settle...

like a dog dragging it's ass across the carpet.

What I really like about this is the guy who was too cheap to put in limited slip when changing his gears and justifying his decision by say he doesn't need limited slip is the guy saying the 8k option for diesel is the only choice rhat should be made regardless of needs. Lol! Then claiming people that don't regear when going to bigger tires are cheap because he can spend that kind of money going out a couple nights with friends. I don't get it.

So I went to the dealer to look at some 2500s. found a Tradesman 2500 4x4 CC with 6.4 liter V8 that I liked. Drive it around, so much better than my 1500 6 speed. So I go to talk about price. My 2014 1500 Express with 14,500 miles is only worth $21000 for trade value....

looks like I'm riding this one out till my trans fails.

That's the problem

Truck is worth $26,675 with an msrp of a little over $40k. $24,325 for a clean trade in.(NADA) 2015 1500 12,100ish miles, talk about depreciation.

Have you checked NADA car values to see what it's worth on trade? I would check it and not accept any less. I traded my 14 Sport in a month ago and got $30k. I paid $38,500 two years ago. NADA said my trade was worth $28,600.

Just bought a 2016 Big Horn 1500 for $27,500 and only 15,000 miles, the truck sitting next to it was identical except had 30,000 miles and they wanted $26,900. Easy choice.

It sucks, but the bad thing about Rams are the depreciation, try taking it to a ford or GM dealership if you want to see low offers..lol

Here's a fun fact: dealers are typically more willing to pay more for a trade in than they are to take more off the price of your new vehicle. The margins on used vehicles are much higher so the dealer has more wiggle room there. If you don't like the offer they give you just say "Sorry but I need $XX,*** for my truck" and if they say no then walk. Make sure you are educated and know the real value of your truck though or you will look like an idiot. Be patient, know the facts and your truck's value, shop around.

Funny prices around here ain't changed since I was looking to buy in 2015. Was looking used at first and then they were around the 27k and little up for a year old with similar miles used. Issue I had was most was ex rental trucks.
