2016 OutDoorsman
Member
Hello Ram owners.
I currently have a 2016 OutDoorsman that was purchased 3 months ago, i really wanted the new Ram Sport but didn't like the price tag. And the Express had everything i wanted, except the interior that i wanted. So the Outdoorsman it was.
my Outdoorsman has the chrome bumper with single exhaust, and i wanted to be like the cool kids and have the color matched bumper w/sensors and dual exhaust cutouts. So i started ordering parts and here is where we are today.
First, i ordered a new powdercoat bumper from ebay
Seller name - bestusaautoparts
Mopar part number - 68049863AA
Seller part number - CH1102373
For 09-15 RAM 1500 PICKUP REAR BUMPER FACE BAR BLACK W/ SENSOR W/ DUAL EXHAUST | eBay
Next, i took my sensors and sensor housing off for painting.
Third, received bumper and took it to my body shop, with removed sensors.
Here is where the fun begins.......Spent the saturday morning preping the bumper and sensors for paint. Saturday afternoon bumper and sensors were painted.
Took old bumper off truck
Laid bumpers side by side to get brackets/Step pad and other stuff transferred to new bumper.
Once everything was relocated to the new bumper, installed everything back on truck.
Done
Have exhaust appointment on Thursday to get duals put on.
