Hey guys/gals

I've got a tail light that keeps getting water in it and it's burning out tail lights frequently. I want to replace them possibly with LED assemblies but don't know if there any I need to be wary of. I want to maintain the red look of the normal lights but feel led should be the way to go.

Suggestions?

That protuninglabs.com is a good website, found some nice Spyders for $150.

Cthulhu, you thinking about doing a LED reverse light upgrade as well?

Blue lights are not my thing... I'm the type of guy that gets miffed at ricers driving towards me with blue headlights thinking they are cool...

Problem with blue lights is now a lot of police departments are starting to give out tickets for having them in your car/truck. Mississippi and Louisiana the ticket will cost you $500 PER LIGHT, and depending on the police officer and your attitude toward them they will make you take them out and BREAK them. Now if it is night and you do not have spare light bulbs they will again stop you and ticket you for no headlights at all.
All states have laws that pretty much state that blue lights are reserved for emergency vehicles ONLY. So in my book blue lights are a big no no, and will NEVER be installed in my truck.

Am I going to need a resistor kit for the above assemblies?

Most of the commercially available taillights that are LED based do not need resistor kits. They have them internal already installed. They are just plug-and-play.

Only have the blue reverse lights on my show tail lights. I hate blue 10k hids... im all about pure white look for headlights. Only have the blue lights for reverse on the show tails and I will have blue under the truck soon, only for when I am parked in the car shows and meets

My wife just called, my Spyder LED Tails from Tunserdepot were just dropped off. I'm stuck at work now, I want to go put them in and enjoy having 2 working tail lights for more than a week straight.

Post a pic up when you get them. Did you end up going with stock colors or something else. When I ordered mine I got the smoked ones

Ha ha, damn work!

Still waiting for pictures though whenever you finally get the right set and install them.
