So i got given a set of 6 inch lightbars from speed demon with a wiring harness. Now i need to find somewhere to mount them on my truck.
I was thinking i would put them where the factory fog lights would go? Or other option was behind the grill?
Do you guys have any ideas?

Where you are thinking the factory fog lights would go is actually where the factory tow hooks would go. I've seen people mount them there

That is a great place to mount them though. I don't think you need to remove the bumper to mount them there

I will hopefully be mounting a similar eBay set in the tow hook spots on kit SLT within the next week or so.

I took a look behind/undet the bumper, and the plastic blanking plates are held in with 4 10mm bolts from the back. Take those out, then slide/wiggle the blank out towards the middle. Then you will have to look for a spot to bolt down the light mounts.

Mine have a single bolt/mount point vs 2 which should make it easier for me. First I need to build a harness for them.

That sounds great. Do you know how far of the bumper it would sit attached to that upport behind there?

Perfect size to mount out back and wire into your reverse lights. That's what I'd do with em.

Toyed with this idea...

Each has about the same output as a LED pod

I'd flush mount them both in the rear bumper. If you do a lot of backing up to trailers in the dark like me.

I wouldn't mind seeing a link to those 6" strips in the tow hook blanks you used. Are they adjustable/aimable?

Here's how I installed mine on a 2013 1500 ...

Got the 4"x 36" slotted 14ga plate/strap from Ace Hardware, cut it to 13.5", painted it, and mounted it using 2 clips and bolts from the tow hook blanks...
