That’s 447 miles a day for 17 months and you say you park it some times. Your rear must hate you.

All on my 2017. 17 months old today. Parked at least 1 day a week. Sometime more.
If any of you are wondering how long your brakes will last, I just changed mine at 228,400 miles. They were at their limit just a few thousand miles left.
So relax, most of you will never need to change your brakes.
Remember, I tow 2 cars behind my truck.
Thanks for the update.Update on my truck, currently 240,000 miles.
Since my last post there have been several issues all have been resolved.
It took 2 dealers to resolve the miss-fire issue below. The truck was out of service for 6 weeks. Nearly all due to the miss-fire issue.
The first information is what I gave the dealer when I took the truck in.
Ken Adams – 2016 Ram 2500
History or other issues. Please correct what you can.
First Issue:
Starting around 80,000 miles a P0704 error was given and the torque converter quit locking up. However, if I stopped and turned off the key and restarted the engine, all was fine until it happened again. This might work for an hour or two or all day.
At around 95,000 miles I brought the truck in and mentioned the above, but more importantly, the 4th gear only problem. The transmission solenoid pack was replaced. I was told to see if that fixed the P0704 problem. It didn’t.
Later a recall on the transmission solenoid pack was issued and I had it replaced again. Once again was asked to see if that fixed the P0704 problem. It may have helped a little but still could happen 2 to 3 times a day.
This problem has been with me now for over 150,000 miles, so if there is anything you can do to fix it would be great.
Second Issue:
Misfire On Cylinder 2 and 8 and random Misfires. I replaced the plugs about 70,000 miles ago. A few times when the engine starts it Misfires. It has, a couple of times, started roughly and then stalled. When re-starting, it would crank for about 3 to 5 sec. before staring. Runs fine driving down the road.
Third, and the one I am most concerned about:
About 3 weeks ago I got an engine over heated error pop up.
The temperature gauge was all the way on Hot. I immediately pulled to the shoulder and turned the engine off. Checked under the hood, all looked OK, and the engine didn’t seem to be hot. Went back in the truck to check the temperature and all was normal. I started the truck and continued without any issues.
This Wednesday (4-3-18), over a 2 hour period, this happened 5 times.
I would pull over, turn off the ignition and restart the engine and all would go back to normal. Just false information, the engine was never hot.
As I am writing this, I just arrived from Arkansas, and all error lights are currently off and all is fine. This, however; could change when I drive it to you in a few minutes.
Thanks for all of your help. Let me know what you find as soon as you can so I can plan next week for the truck.
If you have any questions, please call me.
The first dealer fixed the transmission issue by pulling the transmission and replacing a pump.
They also replaced a sensor that corrected the overheating error.
They had the truck for 3 weeks without finding the miss-fire problem.
I picked up the truck and went to another dealer where I already had a earlier appointment for a wheel bearing and ball joints. I asked them if they wanted to check out the miss-fire issue and they said they would.
Results and another 3 weeks.
They replaced the right head after doing a leak down test.
After they removed the head, they found additional problems.
The cam shaft was in very bad shape. It looked like it had been running without oil. All of the lobes were pitted and scared. the cam bearing surfaces were fine.
They replaced the right head, cam shaft, lifters and push rods. In addition, the radiator had a crack on the top, so it was replaced also. This all was done around 235,000 miles.
The good news, all of the above cost Just $100.00.
The first dealer didn't charge me the deductible.
The truck runs and drives like new 5,000 mile after the repairs.
Sorry for the long post.
I met a guy recently who was in a 2500 Hemi, so I went over to ask him how he liked it. All my 2500's have been Diesel's.
He was real nice, truck was 18 months old and he had 138,000 miles already. Turns out he has 5 of them, and they do all of the Chick Fil A renovations around the nation. He said he buys the Hemi because of it's durability. He runs them up to 450,000 miles each and then trades out. Has never replaced an engine yet.
He tried GM trucks and they couldn't hold up at all. I'm glad I met him, as he is one reason I was willing to try the 6.4 myself. Bought mine yesterday, and hoping that it is my final truck.
This was very good info, and your dealers sound great they are not giving you the run around and the second on found and fix your problems. The life time warranty in your case is priceless and if your dealer don't stick it to you, you are golden. Have they ask to see any proof of service maintenance, like oil and fluid changes? Or any problems with the fact you add airbags? I am guessing you work on your truck your self.Update on my truck, currently 240,000 miles.

That would be awesome but I feel that is a little far fetched. That would be even pushing it for the Cummins Diesel.
Ditto, and glad you called that out. Same goes for those who think that every 6.7L Cummins, no matter how it is used, will go up to a million miles before an overhaul in the Cummins forums just because a few rare cases have done it. Some people would rather believe a lie than the truth when it comes to things they favor.
As a note: I currently have trucks that I have purchased from both dealers. This was very good info, and your dealers sound great they are not giving you the run around and the second on found and fix your problems.
