5000.00 for the max care lifetime warranty ? Seems pretty high.

SMI, would you share some of the things that have worn out or broken in your 183k+ miles so far? And, what all the Lifetime Maximum Care warranty has covered for you? I'm really considering spending the (almost) $5,000 for the lifetime maximum care so anything that breaks or blows (like an engine or tranny) is covered. Plus, from what I'm tracking, once the repair costs more than the NADA average price of the vehicle they'll cut a check. My thinking is that check will be about $5,000, making the warranty a great deal if I keep my truck out of accidents.

$5000 is crazy. I paid $2100 for the Lifetime Max Care with $100 deductible when I purchased my truck.

For Max Care lifetime $100 deductible the lowest I’ve found is $2980. For $0 deductible it’s $4900. After seeing how many go with the $100 deductible I’m leaning more towards that. Since it’s per visit, I can wait for a few small things before going in. It’d take 20 visits to make the extra $2k break even. I’m banking on not having that many visits before something major costs more than the value of my truck (in about 10-11 years) and they cut me a check for the average nada value of it. Which should pay back the warranty, plus some.

So far just front wheel bearings. I paid $3400.00.
Oops, my starter just went at 195,323 miles.

Wow. I'm only at 45,000kms (about 28000 miles) and I am loving the high mile reports! Makes me happy knowing I could potentially keep this truck going for years to come!

I'm at 40000 now. Had a coolant smell for a while. Seems to have stopped. Dealer never found a leak. My "hand free" voice commands don't work with my phone but other than that everything is perfect. I'm very very happy with the truck.

I read that as so far only those have broken. And then the other topic is how much others spent for their lifetime maximum care plan. The mopar lifetime care plan cost $3,400, not the wheel bearings.

I have 1300 miles on my 2016 6.4 Laramie black out package. So far I had quick response issue that was easily fixed at the dealership by hooking up the truck to their computer system and doing what they called a "flash" to the trucks software. This winter i had a lifter issue. On cold mornings you when I start the truck you could here the lifting clapping for about 20-30 seconds. The firestone tranforce a/t tires that came on the truck didn't last to long when we got snow. These tires are horrible on ice and snow! I changed them out and went with a set of BF Goodrich K02. All in all I love the truck! Glad I didn't go with the 6.7 cummins.

I have the exact same truck and had the exact same issues. Even swapped out the transforce tires for the K02's. Do you still have the lifter issue?

Well you guys all have me beat on mileage that is for sure. I guess I need to drive it more. It is good to see that most of you have 40k plus and not too many issues or none at all. I will be looking into the lifetime warranty next week when I take it in for it's annual paint sealant warranty that I got from the dealer that covers any body rust for the life of the truck. I figured this will be my last truck and it will probably rust out due to Minnesota winters before I hit 60,000 on it.

Right now it just turned over 9k and I bought it new in March 2015.... :)

New to the forum. Bought a 2017 Power Wagon in June, 17. Second RAM, but first truck I've ever factory ordered. Absolutely in love with this particular truck. I am not one to get emotional attachment to a rig (I normally see them as garden tools), but this one's different for some reason.

13,200 miles. Had a PCM update in the transmission to mitigate the transmission clunk concern when stopping/slowing down, and a new T-case shift assembly due to a squeak under moderate engine load over bumps.

Nothing major so far, just typical new vehicle quirks!

If any of you are wondering how long your brakes will last, I just changed mine at 228,400 miles. They were at their limit just a few thousand miles left.

So relax, most of you will never need to change your brakes.
Remember, I tow 2 cars behind my truck.

Are these miles on your 2016 2500? If so, is your truck EVER parked? lol
