Couldn't resists a new Craftsman tool box.

My ole' Red, the box on the right is 42 years old. I bought it when I was eighteen and went to work as a mechanic for an excavating company, and side work for local farmers. The box is tired. I got the cheap black one to take some load of old red. Got what I paided for. I though I could get rid of the two for the new one. Don't know what I was smoking. Moved stuff the the new box, and then filled the old ones with all the stuff kicking around the rest of the garage.




Bought the nifty Harbor Freight Rubber glove dispenser and paper towel holder.


Still got my 42 year old electronic tuning tools Timing light and Dwell meter for the old MOPAR Muscle.

I literally just bought myself the top box yesterday. I already had the 52” bottom box. Quality box, well built. You will enjoy it, or atleast I have. Use it everyday.

I thought the soft close was kinda gimmicky when I first bought the bottom box a couple years ago, but I tell you what, its now one of my favorite things about the box.

I sure miss having a sears store.
When they closed our store here I discovered that I’ve got some busted craftsman tools. Lowe’s has recently began selling craftsman tools but doesn’t do the warranty.
It sux having broken sockets laying around.
But that’s ok too because my wife is a manager for Harbor Freight Tools. Damn I love that discount. And an even better warranty from HFT

When they closed our store here I discovered that I’ve got some busted craftsman tools. Lowe’s has recently began selling craftsman tools but doesn’t do the warranty.
It sux having broken sockets laying around.
But that’s ok too because my wife is a manager for Harbor Freight Tools. Damn I love that discount. And an even better warranty from HFT

I checked my Sears and so far they dont have any signs of closing. I'm going to keep a eye out though kuz if they do I'm going to take advantage of the sales

No replacement for Craftsman tools at lowesL??? What's up with that? Why do they carry them if they won't honor the warranty? Might try ace hardware for warranty. I have had one or two replaced at a local Ace and they said as long as they had it they could. Makes me not want to buy craftCrafif the warranty won't be any giog anymore

If other closeouts are like the one locally, they'll keep lowering the price of the slow moving stuff and send the better sellers off to other stores. I'd wait until the last one closes and then you'll probably get some good deals.

We don’t have one of those here either. It’s really weird no to have these stores here since the population is near 60K combined. Sherman and Denison Texas
The nearest Sears or Ace is over 30 miles.

Warranties are good don’t get me wrong. They just don’t do the warranty in store. Gotta mail or drive aways to exchange items

Tourrider, well done. I also replaced two 40 yr old Sears tool box's last week. Great discounts at our local store. 1/2 off. Then I spent the week reorg the tools, cleaning up the box's and re labeling the drawers. Long over due. Very satisfying. BTW, rummer is, Sears will re org. New management team. A number of the people in our store say they are staying to see. Just think how shrewd Harbor Freight is. They see the change in competition, Sears OSH etc. So they adjust their business model to move away from all low end quality and price and now offer some good quality choices. Can still get the "use it once" cheap stuff but now they get the customer who wants quality for value. Our store was packed this weekend.

Gives me something to aspire too---LOL Maybe I'll just leave it the way it is as sort of revenge for the kids----I'll let them deal with it. I was looking for some work space on my work bench the other day and finally just used the garage floor. LOL
