Yes I did.

What is really weird if I reset the radio via engineering menu the radio will work until I restart the car.

I also noticed if I change the special packages 1 and 2 to say RAM 1500 the display in the instrument cluster will say 1500, I change it to off road and it says REBEL like it should but nothing impacts the radio it seems unless I go into the radio/uconnect settings.

I also have scoured all the settings and do not see what other setting/s would alter the radio setup.

Off road should be the one you want for a rebel. If you’ve set the country code in vehicle config 1 then let the truck sleep for a while. Maybe even pull the battery leads and let it sit not connected for 20+ minutes. Then check everything

As @Ghost_RAM said, let the truck sleep for a while. I know when you are trouble shooting waiting is the worst part to see if something will change. You could change something that fixes it and not know because the truck didn't have time to take the changes before you changed something else. These trucks are funny when it comes to changes. I agree with the others who have said that the country code might be the key to all this.

Just weird 8.4 RA3 is missing working radio frequencies and missing XM. Just mot making sense.

I am on version 2.1.6.6 and have not installed the latest update that came out yesterday. I also show the country of destination as a value in my android. So if something got messed up it happened before the latest update.

Are there any moderators or admins that are active in this thread? We REALLY REALLY REALLY need a separate section for Alfa at this point so we can separate all this. Adding different functions, troubleshooting peoples issues etc. This is becoming quite the monster to navigate at this point. It's all over the place and the search function on here is not ideal for finding answers.

Not complaining exactly, just trying to be proactive and get this bumped to the next level.

Not with the software. They sell a kit for like $30 bucks on eBay from what I’ve heard to do this. You have to wire it up.

i had the stealership install remote start 4 yrs ago and they told me $600 more for the factory alarm to be installed, I activated it with the Alpha and prior to activating it I was able to lock the doors with key in the ignition now I can't

I can no longer test as I have the keyless enter and go now but have you tried using the other fob to lock the doors or are you using the inside door lock to lock the truck up?

Windows 10, app appears to be compiled in VB, should be the same on ALL Windows versions

I have 2 tablets and a laptop which all have ALFAOBD installed
I looked at version 2.0.5 and 2.0.6 and the list box with the countries is available on ALL (windows app)

The list box is also available with the A E Tool, just checked and verified

ok I just added the cd I do not really use it but when I update my central console I had the cd now the alpha can make it work in my 8.4 you just have to go to external disc module and select eject cd and it will appear on your screen

I swapped in the bench seat in my 2018 and this doesn't seem to work for me. There is another option in the BCM to "disable CD eject" which was defaulted to "no" in my truck. I changed it to yes and it didn't seem to change anything. I can manually put in a CD and it will start to play just like before but no soft key. Anyone do this successfully on a 2018?

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to post whats worked for me with alfaobd so far on my 2018 1500 w/security bypass harness (thanks Deereguy!):

-Fogs as DRL, without turn signal dropout, with customer menu on/off option added in radio

-Changed EVIC splash screen to Ram 1500

-Global down front windows (mine only go down a couple inches with each press of the fob unlock button, holding it down doesn't work as posted here before)

-Trailer names added

-Heated front seats and steering wheel added with radio soft keys (they were working on remote start and by dash button before alfaobd)

I'm using an Amazon Fire 7 tablet and Bluetooth OBDLink MX.

I had no trouble adding these all at once and just disconnecting the battery for a few minutes.
