I picked my truck up from the dealer this morning. They did a great job installing the new black OEM seat covers. It took them a little longer than I wanted but it was worth the wait. I’m not the type to pester shops when they have my truck. I prefer they take their time and get it done right the first time. (Which they did) They also vacuumed the carpet, cleaned the floor liners, wiped down the interior & cleaned all the windows. I have nothing bad to say about any of my dealings with Susquehanna Dodge/Ram. Their customer service is awesome.

I love the new seat covers. Some might consider it a downgrade from the gray all-leather seats, but they were showing their age and no matter how much cleaning & conditioning I did, I couldn’t get them to look as clean as I wanted. (They came out of a 2011 Laramie) The new driver’s side seat cover I installed a couple months ago stuck out like a sore thumb in comparison to the rest of the seats due to their age. I also like not sliding around in the seat when I go around turns which was also a complaint from passengers in the back. Maybe I cleaned & conditioned the old seat covers a little too much?

^ Personally I prefer that the seat isn’t complete leather... I like the cloth in the middle helps minimize the heat and keeps from burning your ass as much on those hot summer days.

1st road trip. Drove from Cheyenne, WY to Grand Junction, CO for a concert. About 700 miles. Drive there was good, concert was phenomenal as always. Got 7 miles outside of GJ and seen on the road sign that I-70 was closed at Vail. When we went to fuel up, noticed this on the gauges. I can go up and over the Rocky Mountains doing 70-75mph hour and get 22mpg, but as soon as we got about 50 miles from home the mph dropped to 18.7 mpg. Fricken WY winds.

Sobering part is passing the scene where this happened. There was a Semi with a flatbed loaded with what was left of a semi. Half of a semi trailer was still on the scene.

Gave the Ram the weekly wash and wipe down. Drove just over 200mi this weekend. Hand calc 17.2mpg. Since Vararam, mpg up about 1 on average. I think the Ram likes it...
Ordered 4 RP 10-48 filters, changed oil on the other vehicle.
The Ram will sit dormant in the driveway for 3 weeks starting tomorrow night, no driving for me. I am being sent in to the Service Department(Hospital) for a recall on my factory defective right hip, but its out of warranty now. Modding budget for Ram is shot for awhile so I can get my titanium hip socket with matching scar...but I hear they put Redline in it!

Got the ABS recall done, had MDS turned off, PCM firmware updated, throttle response increased 10%, adjusted my headlights down a little so that maybe I can see the road on a rainy night, replaced my upper control arms, got an alignment, replaced my fog light bulbs with SilverStar Ultras, replaced my thermostat with a 180 thermostat, replaced both radiator hoses, installed my Vararam Air Grabber, and put my backup camera back in the tailgate handle where it belongs. Now, I just need to get the camera to work. I’m also considering whether or not to take off the mechanical fan since I had the electric fan set to come on at 180. The truck has stayed below 190 to this point after several long drives and some stop and go driving in a funeral procession but it also hasn’t gotten any warmer than 65 here. So I’m still apprehensive since it’s still a stock electric fan in the truck.

Spring time loving in the rain, new wipers, oil change, fuel filter, tire rotation, dif fluid check, exhaust fluid all in $180 worth of **** you don't see. Centric Pads will be coming from Nick, and I'm looking into a DPF back exhaust and front bumper as well as a build it yourself tire carrier for the rear. Once the weather breaks it'll be time to get out into the woods so truck needs to be ready to rock and roll.

The weather is ridiculous here, need to do my yearly wax job on this thing but to no avail i usually work in the rain on weekends to get things on the truck done, meanwhile its to wet to mow and the grass looks like jumanji.....adulting 101.

I cannot help but notice the before picture, the shifter is on the column. The after photo is on the console? Did you do a swap?

Yes, I couldn’t find the other photos I took of the leather seats so I guess I must’ve deleted the more recent photos. So, I had to use the older ones. I converted it from the column shift to the center console shifter a couple months ago. The center console w/shifter, door panels & Laramie seats were a package deal.

What ABS recall did you have done? Did you have any symptoms? Codes? Messages on evic?

No symptoms or codes. It was just a firmware flash that came up as a recall when a dealership ran my VIN. It took them about a half hour as there was also a module that they said may need to be replaced.
