I wondered about AlfaOBD to but in slightly different terms. I know that when some items are not equipped certain options will appear in the EVIC.

Maybe you can tell the truck a certain radio is present and/or absent and the needed options will become selectable via the EVIC?

No such luck. Nothing I can see in AlphaOBD to tell the truck what radio you have or don't have. It would have to be the RA1 radio. The one with no touch screen. That one would have all those items in the cluster.

Someone just posted in the OBD thread about custom EVIC options. Maybe you can program the EVIC directly?

Lets look and see..............Oh I have been there before and it doesn't let you do anything with the radio, compass, or trailer brake.

It may be worth asking the question in the AlfaOBD thread...lots of knowledge in those responses.

I was just getting ready to send this. I do have the suspension settings though none of them do anything in my truck.

Are you saying you have the air suspension but the console items don't work on the android HU? That would be a bummer.

No. I should have been more specific. I do not have the suspension, just the buttons, and they do not work. My guess is because I do not have the suspension. I have a 3 button from Phoenix that I have for about a year now.

I put my tesla in about 6 months ago, it looks great and sounds fine BUT it's really hard to work when you are driving because it's all touch, and most of it is really small and hard to see no even including the very reflective glass type screen, I downloaded a nice launcher BUT almost all the music players wont default, it's kind of a pain in the ass, the AC/heating part of the unit is also a bit touchy, other than all that here's what it looks like.IMG_20190516_193831.jpg

Ah, OK. Got it. Well, once I get the darn thing I'll be able to finally put that concern to rest.

That's not a trim level, I did all of that, its a plain black 2014 ram bighorn, all mods except the 4' lift, and pipes, I did myself, cant tell ya how many of my friends thought I was crazy doing all this to a $40.000 dollar truck.
I could tell it was custom when I saw the radio bezel. Looks great!

No kidding, that looks amazing. Hope your friends got caught like this when you were all done :Whoa:

I am concerned about folks that pay 80k on a new truck and then lift it or do something else crazy to it. With my big horn I wished I could get more height out of it, but I would have to delete the air suspension and not going to do that, at least not for now, unless that starts to give me trouble.

Then I realized it was just for the car play/android auto dongle.

Well, keep you guys posted when the PX6 shows up.

My 7.1 fastboot head unit shipped from Phoenix and was delivered in a total of 12 days from the order date. That was last month before announcing the new units.

Just for posterity I am going to list the options some of us have with the trailer brake and the suspension.

Sorry for the glare.

The trailer brake has 2 extra sub menus

The last menu item on the same page is called Wheel alignment mode.

So when the new PX6 comes in I will try to map this out in excel and confirm if the functions 1) exists and 2) actually work.

This is unexpected. The DHL tracking shows the unit left China yesterday and is at the SFO sorting facility outbound to my home by the end of today. I was expecting this to show up sometime mid to late next week, so my weekend project is apparently pulled in. They must have upgraded my shipping because I literally ordered the unit right before they announced a 4th of July discount and I asked if they would honor it and ended up giving me some break. While the jury from my side on PA is still out, so far they have been on top of it. Let's hope that their after sales support is on point as well should I need it.

GoodToGoMarine any news on your unit? Looks like for now we are the two test subjects on this forum for the new units.

Awesome! You can let me know how it is even before I open the box :). I haven't received any shipping info yet. I ordered mine on July 7th though. I am guessing I will get mine next week. I have no complaints with Phoenix so far either. They respond relatively quickly when I ask a question on facebook messenger. Here's hoping my return goes smoothly for my last unit. This will be the third unit I have installed. I can now remove my stock radio and install the new one in about 30 mins. lol
