is it costly?

The cruise control will not work if you have and ABS light or traction control issue. The dealer should easily be able to flash the truck back to stock in a matter of a few minutes. I had a friend who worked at a Dodge dealership and watched him do mine when I messed up my BCM with the AE tool. This is not a big deal for them to do so don't let them scare you into thinking it is. They basically do it the same way we do with the alfa tool.

It’s been a few weeks since I accidentally made some changes on alfaobd. Tomorrow I take it to the dealer because I have compared other bcms to mine and cannot find the changes that turned my cruise control off, turned my traction control off and cause a service electronic braking system Hopefully it isn’t expensive. Cruise control shows that it is turned on, however nothing happens when I hit the steering wheel buttons. Traction control light on the dash but on the control panel when pushed on nothing happens.
Before you go to the dealer, have you connected to the abs module, ran the initialization procedure, and cleared the faults out of the abs module?

Yes, sorry I have watched. Everything matches NOW to similar BCM’s. I just can’t find the gremlin that’s causing this last problem.

Watch video i posted and see if all configurations all correct?

Have you tried disconnecting battery for at least 10 mins?

Sorry didn't see you post at first. No it should no be costly at all. Everytime a dealer adds an option to you truck it completely resets your BCM automatically. You could go to the dealer and tell them you want to enable you LEB and LEC blinker/puddle lights codes for your mirrors and by enabling those codes it should reset your BCM back to stock without them doing anything special. This is why we say that after you enable codes with the alfa if you ever have the dealer flash the BCM for a recall or any other reason you will need to enable all the codes again with the alfa because it will automatically remove the codes and put you back to your stock configuration. Most dealers seem to charge an hour minimum to work on anything from most of what I have seen but I've also seen some charge only a half hour. The procedure itself takes ten or fifteen minutes max. Some dealers will try to convince you there is much more involved than there actually is which is unfortunate but it's the way they are. The best suggestion I can give is to let them know you understand the process and you know it's really not a big deal. If you seem hopeless or desperate some (not all) dealers will take advantage of you. The more knowledge you have the better you can protect yourself. Just tell them you need the BCM re flashed to stock. If they come up with some ridicules quote tell them it will only take them 10 or 15 min to do it and ask where they are coming up with their numbers.

Is there any changes that need to be made to the bcm if I'm upgrading to the 8.4 radio outside of changing what type of media hub I have installed if I upgrade that part too? I don't think there is but you never know.

I will shortly, my newest problem I’ve found is my headlights no longer turn on automatically, as well as the halo light. I have to manually turn the switch to headlights.

no codes in the evic however in alfaobd the only codes I get are for low light voltage ( I swapped for led)
Try reading codes with the obdlink app see if matches, my chrysler 200 read 0 codes with alfaobd but obdlink read 1 code

There are no codes that need to be flashed in the BCM to do the 8.4 upgrade. Depending on the year of your truck and which radio you install you may need other parts. If you have a 2013 to 2017 truck and you install a 2018 or 2019 UAS or UAQ radio you will need a different media hub and and adapter harness. If your installing a RA3 or RA4 in a 13 to 17 Ram there is nothing else needed.

I 98%solved what I did wrong with my truck in alfaobd... my last favor I ask is if anyone can help me figure out auto headlights again. If the switch is set to auto on, only the DRLs will be on no mater night/day. Even the interior halo light (the one single led above the radio) also all dash lights are dim and unadjustable unless the switch is manually turned to running or headlight)
