Just installed G2's and Hikari Ultras, and EXTREMELY pleased with them. Changed the entire look of the Warlock and I CAN SEE AT NIGHT!
The only modification I did was splice the red DRL wire from the headlights into the DRL wire on the projector harness they sent (which was probably pointless, since I could have just enabled the parking lights as DRL in alfaobd and gotten the same effect...) but I also get the left/right turn signal out message. I just decided to disable the door ajar setting (wtf RAM?) to turn off the front lamp diagnostics. No errors at all.
However...I am getting radio interference at varying levels depending on the station (weaker stations pretty much go out completely). Anyone else getting static with their Hikari Ultras?

Which color? Any pics? I'm getting the jet black for xmas I believe. Was a big debate between jet black and black which most people have. Still not sure I have decided but don't really have a choice now

I'm pleased with my G2 headlights. No warning lights, decent output. I have morimoto 35w HIDs with Hylux ballasts for lows and Hikari(?) LEDs for highs. Bought them from a friend who was selling his truck and I cant remember what LEDs he had. Doesnt really matter, I rarely use the high beams anyway53416072a9b4dc63ae0ad0dc2b29e5dd.jpg89a550e0e4f534f32d43945a5323a625.jpg

For anyone having parking lights error messages with g2 versions and have alphaobd myself and @chrisbh17 may have found a solution.

Here is what you can try.

VehConfig 3 HID lamps > YES
CBC FEATURES-LED Front Turn Lamps > YES
CBC FEATURES-LED Front Park/Turn > No
CBC FEATURES-LED Low Beams > No
CBC FEATURES-LED High Beams > No
CBC Extern.Light Right/Left Low Beam > 12.2v
CBC Extern.Light Right/Left Front Corner > 12.2v

After I modified my alpharex g1 lights with profile pivot switchbacks I would get a parking light out message only when my lights were on. For a temporary fix I added resistors until a solution was found. @chrisbh17 was having similar issues on his modified g1s. He and I went back and forth on possible reasons. chrisbh17 started messing with turning off different options to match @Jimmy07 settings since he wasn't having any issues on his modified g1s. Only real difference between the 3 truck's is Jimmy07 previous added the factory projector headlight wiring harness.

It's been a week since I have made the changes and I have had zero issues so far.
My build katana led's in low's, profile pivot led projectors for highs, profile pivot switchbacks strips

Here is what you can try.

High intensity discharge lights-enabled
Led low beams-no (even if you have led's for low's)
Led high beams-no
Led parking lights- no
Turn light voltage set to 12.2v
Parking light voltage set to 12.2v
Corner light voltage set to 12.2v

To add a little bit...having never seen the inside of a G2 light, Im not 100% positive how it handles the corner marker. The to truck/BCM, the corner is part of the parking lights.

So, I would try the above settings from @1500ram12 first. But if you are still having problems, try changing the Led Parking Lights setting to Yes and see if that fixes it.

Im pretty confident the rest of the above settings are where they should be as they have solved most of my issues as well.

Thanks to @1500ram12 and @Jimmy07 for bouncing ideas back and forth and comparing settings.

One other thing thing to add I didn't add the side markers back into my lights

I forgot about that!

So yeah, in your case the setting might not even matter.

In my (and jimmys) case, where we added the markers back in, Im not sure if our modified lights now act like G2 lights, or if G2 was built differently.

Its interesting, though, that when I set my parking light LED setting to No, every time I turned on the headlights I got a parking light out error. Just like people with G2 headlights. So, Im guessing G2 owners could go in with Alfa and change Parking Light LED Present to "Yes" and perhaps solve their issue.

Thank you. We only got to use it twice before the snow started to fly. Looking forward to next summer.

If you want the drl feature you'll either have to use the supplied harness or add a dedicated drl feed. You can buy the pins and make your own or at @M2Mods @Mpgrimm makes and sells. This will allow you to use the drl feature of the headlights. Other option is set drl's to turn signals but won't have white drl's

Sweet thanks. Any difference between just using the supplied or one of the custom made ones?

The custom will function like a factory enabled option whereas the supplied harness will supply power to the drl's as soon as the truck is on. I think about half way through this thread you'll find a discussion on wiring in the dedicated drl feed. A few of us went that route. Not hard to do.

Thanks work is extremely slow today so I just went through about 80% of the thread. Probably going to try to install tonight when I get off and just use the included wire for now. And will grab some Hikari leds likely. Will be curious how it goes I haven't had the best of luck getting alphaobd to work well on my truck.

My hour meter reset itself and alphaobd refuses to change it. I did get speedometer to change but everytime I try a 2nd time to further tweak the MPH to perfection it ends up crashing my truck and killing power steering, runs horrible, etc.

So hopefully lighting goes better

I received these for Christmas. I received the ones shown first from above. I just opened them but now I am working out the wiring. I might be easy once I have them at my truck (2013 Ram 1500). My wife chose to buy the 55W version with 6000K HIDs. The truck is a "before" picture. If anyone has any tips or suggestions on This HID wiring, I would appreciate it!

The mileage and hours correction is buggy. Hopefully the dev is working on a fix. As far as speedo correction if you still have a issue make sure you clear any codes in the bcm, engine and rf hub. That usually fixes everything. I don't think our trucks like multiple changes in a row.

2nd pic is the drl harness

1- low/high beam connector
2- DRL connector
3- remove bulb from turn signal socket in insert that and place socket like you would on current headlights
4- goes to a ground
5- goes to a keyed on fuse
6/7 connect to the red wire on each headlight (2)
8- positive battery post
9 connects to 14
10 connects to 13
11 connects to 12
15 connects to the blue low beam connector inside the headlights
16 connects to the black low beam connector inside the headlights

Yeah I think that was the problem I went too fast. I changed speedo, tested it with gps, and it was better but still off. Wanted one more tweak so pulled over off side of road to do a quick 2nd tweak (within 5 min of my first) and it crashed everything multiple times. So I've just been using my hypertech still, but goal when I got alfaobd was to sell the hypertech.
