Will Linkswell take my couple month old Linkswell PX3 back...towards a new PX6?

No, there's no trade-in program. You might be able to get Credit for a return, then apply that Credit towards the PX6 when it comes out.

Just my first idea. Otherwise selling on eBay or something for $850 or something could work.

Phoenix radios don't have this. At least mine didn't lol but I can't complain about the phone call quality yet as it is working properly for me (knock on wood) lol

No they dont i ended up wiring my own and it works sometimes and most the time not. Not do to the wiring but the software locks up . Sending my radio back after months of fighting with things not working .

I'm currently using Car Luncher Pro and sometimes my music won't have any sound. Radio and movies will play sound no problem, if I go to Radio and let it play for a minute and go back to music it will have sound. Has anyone run into this issue? Also I'm thinking about rooting the radio but I have no idea of where to start. Can someone point me on the right direction lol Thanks

These things are what happens with this radio and I have found that doing a pin hole reset usually will fix it . The software tends to just lock up , I had similar issues with Bluetooth I would get no microphone then reset and it would work .
Another reason I decided to part ways with the radio .

I don’t know what to say about Phoenix , so I reopened Th e ticket that has been open for 7 months, new ladie responds and gives me same run around , so I tell them they’re rediculous . They then decide they want to figure out how to make it right so they offer me a px6 and I pay 100$ . I said naw I don’t want to put anymore money into it . So I say how about you refund me $150 and I’ll just keep it and deal with the issues . So they email back and say my manger has approved this please fill out the refund form and we will send you a shipping notice to send the radio back . Huh ?

Am I going nuts or does this sound even more rediculous lol . So I pay 500$ for radio then send it back and you give me $150 back ?

So they can refurbished and sell it for at least $400. For me, it has worked better to call them and ask to speak with the manager - I dial in to the sales department intead of support. They will put you on hold for a while, but eventually the "manager" will pick up.

It's best to flash a pre-rooted firmware file unless you know how to gain root yourself via exploit. There are rooted firmwares available for 4.4.4 and 7.1.1 PX3 radios only at this time on 4PDA's Tesla Style radio page.

I got my 12.1 from Phoenix yesterday. It installed very easy except the harness for the auxiliary switched messed up the buttons on top working. Once i removed the aftermarket aux switches it works flawlessly. I had contact with Phoenix on several occasions and they even video called me to help me out.
The only pressing issue i have now is the red and gray plug that goes into the back of the stereo didn't lock into place. I had to wrap tape around it to secure it. And it's still not in there great. Hopefully they fix this issue.
Now I'm not a guru by any means so what i use this for is limited. I thought it was awesome and i wanted it. I have connected to a hot spot and watched YouTube video. I gave scrolled through the settings. And i also installed this front facing camera

Looks good. I'm actually quite surprised at the level of "OEM like" integration they are getting into with these radios. So your AUX switch panel buttons couldn't be relocated or didn't work using their kit (or both)?

Since my switch panel wasnt factory it was causing the stereo to not work properly. I got it from 4th gen electronics. Once i removed it from the harness all worked great.
Me too impressed how factory it looks.
To my understanding if you have the factory aux switches they will be integrated into the stereo

After over 9 months and back and forth with Phoenix the last few weeks I finally was able to get my radio sent back and fully refunded . What a relief [emoji28]. Currently I am running the 8.4 4c uas , good luck guys hope you have better luck with these then I did .

My PX6 is flawless still.
Just for those who fear as to whether or not these units are worth it.
I'll probably sell the whole truck before I ever trade up. Just avoid Phoenix. Seems to be the common denominator for most peoples issues .

I hear you brother, but isn't Phoenix the only one selling the 12-inch radio at this time?
I have searched and searched and cannot find the original manufacturer for this radio. Phoenix told me they are the manufacturer. I seriously doubt this.
I'm sure somebody's making it for them in Korea.... I'm sure I will find it with more research.
But that 12.1 in is sick!

I'm really not trying to deal with Phoenix.
I have been doing research on trying to find out where the head unit is being manufactured and I've come up with nothing as of now....
Can anybody confirm that Phoenix is the only place we can get this at this moment?

I believe Linkswell is about to offer it too. I doubt either will tell you the source though. Linkswell's is likely delayed for a bit of polish before releasing...

I figured as much. I actually asked Phoenix who the manufacturer was and they said they were. lol!!!
I know this for sure not to be true because they are a third party.
