what is the part number for the humidity sensor of a ram 1500 2013 I have the rain sensor and the harness for the daytime attenuation mirror I also have the atc that got some time with mpgrim of all this that I would need more to start this new mod

I’m pretty sure you should have installed the Humidity Sensor when you did the ATC. I think the Humidity Sensor help controls the ATC.

This is the one I installed but it doesn't list it for 2013 on the sites I checked. 55111389AF

I have the humidity sensor installed under my knees is the one that controls my ATC but I think I am missing the sensor that goes in the rear view mirror part with the proper harness

The one under the steering wheel is your temperature sensor. You actually need both temp sensor and humidty sensor for it to properly work. You need to get the mirror harness that runs from where the hvac module is to your mirror also you need the atc part of the 8.4 conversion to properly install the humidty sensor if you did the 8.4 mod with M2Mods harness.

He has a 2013 ram 1500 with factory 4 speed HVAC system and single speed AC compressor like the 2500's. The only year the 1500's are like this. No humidity sensor is required with his truck.

Have you went back and checked to see in your config if the vehconfig 2-Rain Sensor Present actually set? Also, even though it seems obvious, the wipers need to be set in at least the first intermittent setting on the stick.

OK guys I'm just playing Devil's advocate here but why couldn't you just turn the wipers on by hand? Doesn't seem like that big a deal to turn the wipers on. :manos:

I guess it’s the same as anything. Why would someone want power windows or locks vs hand cranking them up and down manually? Same as setting your ac on auto and forgetting it. Just a convenience thing.

@Ghost_RAM. Where is the Light rain sensor calibration option at in Alfa.

I have everything installed. CSM is in the radio. Sensor is installed. But I have yet to get it to work. I’ve sprayed water over the sensor and it doesn’t engage the wipers.

As far as I can see no air pockets in the lens looking from the outside. Also when I uncheck or iselect the option on the radio it checks and unchecks it but I get the low sound “beep beep” like when you press something that you have set but not installed. Or an option that doesn’t work with out truck like the auto fold power mirrors.

Edit - never mind I’m an idiot. When I was messing with my case for the humidity sensor yesterday I disconnected the harness by the glove box so I didn’t mess anything up pulling connectors out of the mirror and humidity sensor with the truck having power to them. After sitting In my truck at work i gave up. Well on my way home from work my ATC was acting funny and was constantly blowing on high cold air. And I noticed my mirror buttons were not illuminated either. Then it hit me. I never plugged the damn harness back in!!!! I literally smacked myself in the forehead because obviously nothing was working cause there was no power! [emoji23][emoji849]

But anyways. Everything seems to be functioning properly. Now to paint and put up the black vinyl and everything should be good.

Update-all is well, their sales rep got back to me today and was very helpful/apologetic.

Thanks for the great write up and info everyone. I just did the auto ATC upgrade and figured this would be an easy add on since I ended up buying a mirror harness that included the rain sensor plug.

Has anyone ordered the 1724 sensor through Auto Design Group recently?

I ordered mine about a month ago via their online store and haven’t heard anything. Their generic sales email is bouncing back and their phone # goes straight to voicemail.

If anyone has an alternative contact or any feedback I’d appreciate it.

Excellent project, I was always hoping this will be possible, I do have the standard windshield without openings, but I think I'm going to try to mount small box with the sensor right below the original box in-center until I get the opportunity to replace the windshield

Just for clarity, I have the outdoorsman with the auto dimming mirror and dual zone ATC. I don’t need any harnesses, just the sensor?

Do i need both the Mopar and ADG sensor? Or is it one or the other?

EDIT: Never mind, found the answer. They are interchangeable.

While adding my Smart Beam Mirror to enable the Auto High Beam feature to my truck, I found this hidden under my rear view mirror cover. According to the part number, this is the module to allow for rain sense wipers. What is interesting is my truck did not come with the rain sense feature enabled. I enabled the options listed in this thread. However, when I set the VehConfig 2 - Rain Sensor Present = yes option, my truck displays the MIL indicator that I need to service my electronic parking brake. I also noticed a fault is seen in Alfa that it is unable to communicate with the Rain sensor module. It baffles me. That part number indicates it is a rain sensor. My only thought is maybe because I have a 2020 maybe something else needs to be adjusted in Alfa.

I am curious if anyone else with a 2020 that has Rain Sense Wipers could share their system config for me to compare with mine. Also, I am curious if anyone else has had a similar issue when turning this on.

While that part number comes back as a rain sensor, it is actually the humidity sensor for the HVAC system.

Thanks Jimmy07. Good to know.

That makes me wonder then, if I wanted to add rain sense, I guess there is another module that would be a combination of the humidity sensor and a rain sensor ? If not, I am not sure how you would tuck the rain sensor under the rear view mirror cover along with the humidity sensor.
