Thanks for that, I'll just do it the old-fashioned way and tag on to the rear speakers with a loc.

That worked for me. The rear speakers signal can be tapped under the lower B-Pillar trim pretty easily. It's the only twisted pair in the wiring harness there. I think they are green wires if memory serves...Thanks for that, I'll just do it the old-fashioned way and tag on to the rear speakers with a loc.
I would get a replacement radio. If a second one acts similarly then it would be time to troubleshoot.Hey guys I need some help,
I recently purchased the Phoenix Auto PX6 10.4” radio for my 2013 1500 Sport. I received it and installed it with no issues. However it has only been about a week and I had an issue with the unit not turning off with my truck, finally I got it to turn off but NOW the unit will not properly turn on. Whenever I start up my truck the boot screen will briefly flicker on and then straight back to the black screen with no controls. Any help or suggestions is appreciated!
Try changing your car type to ram hi or ram top.just installed phoenix 12.1 yesterday and really the main issue is with the audio. i believe it is because it has the alpine system in it from dodge. i started at the beginning of this thread, and started seeing mentions of issues with the alpine setup, but i cant go through 290 pages of the thread lol. has there been a fix figured out for this? aside from either running a seperate 4channel amp or running new speaker wire for the headunit?
EDIT** its a 2014 Ram 1500. everything else, hvac, back up cam, etc works fine.

The Alpine units are wired differently because they go to the Amp. On the Harness they shipped you does it say Ram Hi or Ram lo?i thought that was mainly for changing the type of hvac controls. but ill try that. its just weird, when you try to use the balance/fader, all the rear speakers are tied to the front channels. very weird.
Go 8.4" in my opinion.Man, what a thread lol
Does anybody have photos of what the HVAC controls screen looks like on the Linkswell Gen 4 screen?
I haven't seen a lot of talk on them, anybody have any feedback on the gen 4's? It looks like the best of both worlds with a PX6 and solid customer service and a bit more of a polished UI out of the box.
I'm in the air between spending the $$ on the Linkswell unit or trying to figure out pricing for a new bezel and grabbing an 8.4 unit. Seems like the trend it to grab the 8.4 unit for a deal and stay with a stock Ram option as opposed to rolling the dice with the third party chinese android solution. But I'll admit I'm leaning towards the larger screen and touch screen HVAC controls if it's executed well.

The prices right now are ridiculous to tell you the truth. Something in the market is causing the HVAC modules to cost hundreds of dollars. One of the best sources for all the parts is the forum classified sections. Someone might still sell stuff for a reasonable price. I bought my UAS new for $300.Ah the man of the thread himself! Thanks for the advice, can't lie I'm a little bummed that these aren't more hashed out by now but alas, it can be tough adding third party stuff into something so integrated.
Any idea what upgrading to the 8.4 should run me roughly? From some quick searching it looks like I can get an RA4 unit for ~$500 and then the trim for another ~100. I assume the HVAC modules (and something else) in addition to that won't break the bank?

Wow that's crazy! So even with this similarity now in cost, you still think to stick it out and go for the 8.4 instead of the Linkswell Gen 4? Any specific reasons other than "it just works?"
Nope, it just works. Your assessment that Linkswell has the most polish AND support is correct IMO. There is one other option of custom rooted firmware from a Russian developer. I believe he makes PX6 firmware now too for $100.
Current prices aside, I believe under normal circumstances this upgrade should be around $800-$900 using a 2018+ UAS radio (assuming you don't already have an 8.4)

If you search Car-Parts.com for 2018 and 2019-2021 Classics you can find them at salvage yards. Many times you can get good deals on all the parts too through them as many of the upgrade parts are ones they wouldn't normally sell. Thanks for the input! I'll have to keep an eye out since the main driver of my desire to upgrade is the inclusion of Android Auto, so I'll need an 18' 4c unit and right now the only ones I see going on Ebay are $1k+. Sounds like something I'll just have to keep an eye out for. Thanks again for the information.
I have seen it but not stuck. I would ask Linkswell. Maybe @JustLovett0 can help?View attachment 222338Has anyone had this issue with their linkswell? It’s upside down and stuck at android boot screen.
If they are just a domestic front for straight from a Chinese distributor sales, it can take up to 3 months. For starters, they tend to make a lot of mistakes in China, and their mail service is also disorganized. They tend to rarely air ship when every penny counts, and wait until they have sufficient orders to throw it in bulk on a container ship over the sea. There's also customs and the Chinese always lie about the contents and its value which can cause holdups as well. And that was all pre-covid, which has likely put additional strains on resources and new regulations about ships from China. Chinese mail tracking outside the country also tends to be crap, and most of these Chinese companies genuinely have no idea where it is once it supposedly left China, and will just say "it comes when it comes", and if after 3 months it doesn't show up they usually refund your order if you paid by credit card (since that offers buyer protection).Im sorry but it does NOT take 44+ days to SHIP A RADIO that is most likely already in a box on a shelf!!!
