No slight of hand, here's a screenshot from while I'm typing a response. As mentioned, there's a nice increase in the payload difference between the Classic (4G) and 5G trucks. It was a known weakness in the 4G trucks and having a 1000 # payload wasn't exactly a selling point on a well equipped ecoD truck or a 1100# payload on a well equipped 4x4 hemi truck.
WHO really tows that much weight ??? Come on now...............
Owned lots of truck AND never pulled to there max ever.
I just pull **** and don.t weigh it !!!
We can not link to there from here. It is in a few threads. Mainly the tire and loading sticker thread. Go to the 5th Gen site and message me there. DevilDodgeOkay, appreciate the responses. The one that says classic has a picture of a 5th gen. So I was interpreting it as a 5th gen. Forgetting for the moment that it may be labelled wrong. The numbers appear to be valid to me.
My point was simply that the web page at some point in time had erroneous info for 2019 Rams. And that now they seem to have corrected it.
As to "A member at 5thGenRams did file and win a lawsuit about the oversite." I tried to find that post and could not. If anyone has the link I would appreciate seeing it.
Thanks and have fun!

The first picture is what the Ram web page showed earlier this year. Not sure when the change was made.
The second picture shows the current information.
So did RAM really intend to mislead and now are making up for it...................ahem
