It's the exact same Header with the exact same hardware. Their shop may be In the US but I'd be willing to bet they don't make their headers because these Chinese ones are EXACTLY the same as the bbk ones. After my experience with them and their warranty department you couldn't give me a bbk product and I will never reccomend their junk to anyone, don't matter if they were made in the Whitehouse I will never support their products again. As for their warranty, I was not satisfied and was told to pound sand so their 100% satisfied is a slogan not a guarantee.

UTTER JUNK.

So because it looks the same means BBK are Chinese junk? Because no Chinese company has ever copied another design, lol. They’re not going to say, in black and white for the world to see, that their products are build here if they’re not. That is opening themselves up to all kinds of problems.

whatever dude, you’ve had a horrible experience with them, and someone else in this thread had a horrible experience. 3 of us had a good experience. I’d imagine there are FAR more people who have had zero problems with them than have had problems, or they wouldn’t still be in business. How many times have you read about rams being junk in someone’s opinion because they had a bad experience? And yet, here you are....

Just because their "Ram" shorty headers are crap is not going to make them go out of business ... There other products might be better than the other brands, but the facts are that these headers have been reported to have a lot of issues from weld leaks to cracks and if I'm not mistaken corrosion inside ....

BBK is based here in San Diego just like you posted but so is AFE and I don't think I have seen anyone on these forums post that they have had issues with AFE, I will be getting AFE shorties since I can just walk into their office in Corona and get them.

For an few hundred you can get a better product, why wouldn't you?

When someone posts that they have had problems with a product and on top of that their customer service suck, you better believe it that "I" will stay away from that product my friend ....

I wouldn't put bbk headers on my truck if they gave them to me ... waste the time to put them on and then you end up with issues? Hell no .....

Not to mention having to take them off, replace the melted knock sensor because the weld was junk and then fix my wires. The issue happened 300 miles from home so it was a drive it situation.

But come on man, Rams have 100 different parts than can go wrong ... how can you compare a Ram to shorty headers ? lol ....You care comparing a vehicle that has 100 things than can go wrong but shorties are just one part ... are you seriously going to continue to add the same part that keeps having issues to your Ram ? ...

Look he has had a bad experience with the BBKs and he is advising and just simply warning you about the experience he has had with them ... to me I welcome that and appreciate it, no need to get all mad about it or criticize him for doing so ....

Yeah ... no screw that dude ... people seem to get worked up when people like us warn others about the issues we have experienced ... but it is only right and perfectly fine to post our opinions and experience about them ... the complaints are all very similar when it comes to BBK headers so no way I would even risk buying them for my truck .... if I was going to go bungy jumping at Joes and his lines always broke at the same exact spot but Jakes bungy never breaks who am I going to go with ? lol ...

I ain’t mad about it, I was simply offering a counter position to his. My experience with them has been a positive one, why should that take less credence than his negative experience?

and no, I don’t work for BBK. I live in southeast Texas and work in the O&G business. I spend (or used to spend anyway) a lot of money on car/truck parts. I’ve never had a bad experience with a BBK part.

that being said, comparing them to Chinese junk because they look similar is about the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. He literally said “they look the same, they’re the same headers”. China is kind of known for copying **** and making trash versions of it. It’s kind of what they do.

if one bad experience turns you off of a product, how in the hell do you own ANYTHING? Every single product you own, someone has had a bad experience with one of them.

If you want to spend double the price because 2 random people on the internet said they had a problem with it, go right ahead. Might I suggest to any rational person though that you go to every site that sells them and read reviews. I’d guess you’ll find more positive than negative.

I get the bad experience thing, can't make everyone happy. But honestly if something is happening consistently there's a problem. On top of that they don't back their product. Not trying to pick or bicker but I'll promote a good product 100% and down a bad product Chinese or American if it's junk and consistently reported as such wouldn't you avoid it?

So, you think they can’t figure out how to make a set of shorty headers for a ram, but the headers they make for every other make and model of vehicle are fine? Magically the Ram ones are junk? Come on man, you surely know better than that.

Admittedly, I’ve not done a ton of research into the Ram headers, but I’ve seen 2 posts that have mentioned catastrophic failure (yours and one other in this thread). It’s like saying the F150 eco boost is a junk engine because you can read about
Problems from them on forums. For every 1 you read about on a forum, there are thousands upon thousands with zero problems, same with headers.

y’all do what you want. Run from them based on 2 people, or save the money and buy them based on the 3 here alone that have had a good experience. I don’t care one way or another.

I do care that you are saying they are Chinese made junk. That isn’t true, and you should probably edit that out unless you have some kind of proof other than “they look similar”. It’s an American owned and operated company, selling products designed and manufactured in the US. Just because some cheap Chinese knockoffs look like them is t reason to call them Chinese junk.

But you stated that the BBKs you had were on your mustang back in the early 2000s right ? Dude in 10 years alone things have gone to **** in when it comes to quality lol ....

A lot of "Made in the USA" products are actually manufactured in China, hell Arkon wheels are supposed to be "Made in the USA" and they themselves put videos out about the factory in China where their wheels are made lol .... don't believe me video is below ..

Fact is man the possibly of them being manufactured over seas is high ... very high ...

And no your experience does matter ... but again "I" will rather stay away from something that has issues over something that doesn't especially when the time and money to get shorty headers installed is more than just throwing some wheels on or a bolt on exhaust or some headlights ...

Too many other variables to consider with headers .. if they weren't a PIA to replace then I would probably give them a try but the horrible customer service that I have read about is a deal breaker for me ... I sen't the Alpharex headlights back because of the crappy customer service I was getting after I got them ....

No ...but it's not just 2 or 3 people complaining about the exact same issue ... go on youtube and look at the videos about bbks ... you get what you pay for simple as that and when you weld something and heat comes into the equation those welds better be damn perfect ... very easy to compromise the integrity of a metal when it comes to welding especially in the areas that the bbks seem to always fail ....

I have yet to see someone complain about AFE headers and believe me I have gone through just about every forum out there and haven't seen a complaint about it ... can you find one and post it ?

I'm rocking the whole afe system front to rear! Not one single complaint! I put the 2019 race series system on my 2015 (no cats) couldn't find one for the 2015 in stainless with no cats. Seeing as the 2019 new body style has the same engine and everything it worked nicely other than having to extend the 02 sensor wires. But that was simple. damn it sounds nice with my choppy cam.
