So i need to badly fix my trucks paint. I need to do a full detail, cut and polish, and my current buffer is trash and will overheat 1/4 of the way through. So i went and ordered a new polisher this morning.
Ive only ever used corded Dewalt buffers and then some random ones, so i am super excited to try out this cordless polisher. I feel like ill be way more likely to grab it and fix a paint issue then i would to get out 2 extension cords, run them over a fence and out front, then deal with the cord of the buffer. I can just grab this and go.
Also ordered another battery. I have a few m18's but they are 3.0's and i needed something that was going to last alot longer.
Then, i needed to order new badges for my door. The ones i had bought will not work because of issues in the paint, i need to cover the entire RAM 1500 spot that the old emblem was at, and my new badges only had the RAM part. So i had to order all new badges that were the full RAM 1500.
And then i wanted to do something with my foglights, but i didnt want the Morimoto LED Fogs, so i decided to order this setup off Amazon and if the pods are crap, ill just order some good ones. It was cheap enough that it was worth it for the brackets alone.
Still waiting on my replacement MX4 cover, i have to remove the vinyls currently on my truck, remove the grille and headlights and fender flares so when i do the full detail, i dont have to worry about hitting them with the buffer as they do not have a finish on them that is polishable. It looks like my new Milwakuee Polisher will be here Friday, so ill prepare my truck on Friday for the full detail, and then i can do the detail early saturday morning. Then i have new vinyls with a new design to put on, new bed caps to put on, all the parts i took off to detail it, i also have the replacement cover... so lots of work to do this weekend on my truck.
In the next 60 days i plan to order the following parts:
- MaxTrac Front Upper Control Arms
- Core4x4 Rear Tier 3 Kit
- The Power Stop Brake Kit with Drilled + Slotted Rotors, Pads and Red Powder Coated Calipers
