So, I bought these bulbs to install into a set of aftermarket (perde/tyc) chrome housings while completed a retrofit on another set of lights. I had a set of h11 hid bulbs driven by 45 hylux ballasts in the aftermarket housings but wasn't happy with the pattern. The aftermarket housings have the bulbs clocked different than oem housings so it was near impossible to get the hid bulb clocked the way I wanted it. So, I ordered a set of these auxito bulbs based off some reviews on YouTube. They do not disappoint. First off. They are small. They are tiny in comparison to many leds and dare I say more compact than the much hyped fahrens. They easily fit behind the dust cover of the housings (same size as oem housings). Being that they are a clockable bulb, I was able to fine tune the base position to get them perfectly vertical. Worth noting, I am running fahrens in the high beams and have no complaints about them. So, as for output, they are on par with the 45w hids, maybe a hair dimmer. The biggest improvement was beam pattern, however, since these are afterm housings, the beam pattern is pretty bad. I actually wouldn't recommend these housings as replacements unless you wanted a basic oem knock-off light for a retrofit. Now all that said, beam pattern is better than with the hid bulbs, and I'd say it's slightly more refined than even the halogen bulbs, but much brighter than halogen. As for heat, I was handling these while they were on trying to find the sweet spot for beam pattern for several minutes. These got warm, but not hot. I've handled leds that got untouchable within a few seconds of turning on. Over a 30 minute drive into work every night, I don't notice any kind of drop off in performance. I really wish I had a set of actual stock housings to try these in, because I feel these would be an incredible setup and these housings post such a poor pattern that posting an image of the beam pattern simply wouldn't do the bulbs justice. I am thoroughly impressed with these bulbs for their price. I do believe these are a good bit brighter than the fahrens I have in the high beams, the highs just don't have as much pop as they normally would, but that again could be the housings. These are saying they are canbus compatible, I've not had any issues, but I'm also running alfaobd, so none of that stuff really matters. If you're looking for a budget set of bulbs for both highs and lows in quad housings, I'd highly recommend these. Super compact, very efficient, and minimal heat.
Like I said I bought these for temporary use until I finished my retrofits and I'm not at all disappointed. In fact, I'll probably transfer these bulbs over to my dad's truck when I'm done with these housings.
