Just looked a a piece of property in the mountains of PA, beautiful area. Will be in Fort Pickins (Pensacola FL area) in June and then in Ashville area of NC come September. Taking the Harley along for some mountain riding. Love the great outdoors and thank God America has so much to offer.

Watching people pull into a campsite is almost as much fun as being at the boat ramp. Hard to believe some of the things I have watched at both. One thing for sure, that camera on your truck won't teach you how to back a trailer. It is kind of a hold my beer moment for most.
I’m not sure what’s more fun, watching the back in or hub and wife screaming at each other :)

Put an electronic lock on the 5W yesterday, an RVLOCK Compact, for $200. Can be operated with a FOB, keypad with backlight or manually with a key. No more fumbling around, especially in the dark. Easy install.3B712CCC-7A2D-49A5-B1C4-F9E545C46598.jpeg

I just reserved a spot at Western Village RV Park for All Chrysler Nationals car show in Carlisle PA. That's in the middle of July. I'll probably start a thread for that soon to catch the attention of the guys in the other forums.

I was going to wait to see if I could get off of work but they only had 3 RV sites left so I had to jump on it. I should be able to take off. If not, I'll see if I can switch my reservation to the weekend of All Truck Nationals. I'd rather go to ACN and see all the old school Mopar's.

Yeah - I tried to reserve a site there also, only had two left and both say max of 30', mines 34'. Looking around at other campgrounds to see if I can find one fairly close

Our new trailer we got last year is only 29'. The one we had before that was 33'. 31' or 32' you may be able to fit but 34' would be pushing it. Years ago the volunteer fire hall owned a large section of land that they would let you boondock on for a small donation to the hall. It was a win win but I think they sold the land a while back. If I park outside the grounds I always use the fire hall parking. I'd rather support them than some other parking company.

Why we love our 24 foot size. I was thinking of Western Village...but looks like by the time we make the decision..it may be too late.

Looking at Google maps there is also Deer Run and Moore's. Both 20 minutes from the Carlisle fairgrounds. Never stayed at either but may be worth looking into.

Put a new 3 way valve in for winterizing as mine was seized and wouldn't turn so I can de-winterized down the road.
I got the batteries back in, the tires aired up and made the bed.
We will be heading out in a few weeks as the season is just underway here.

Yeah - only thing I miss about our old 25' Passport, but, wife had to have this one, we all know that story. Oh well - it gave me a valid reason to buy another truck, so all wasn't lost.

Headed camping this weekend. Just got the permit back today for our Memorial Day weekend trip to the Forest. Gonna be right on a stream. So, depending the weather, gonna be fishing and swimming and lots of being thankful and Remembering what was fought for and the America I love.

Question for you other travelers: We will be leaving the Grand Teton area of Wyoming late June and want to hit western Colorado afterwards. Somebody on here mentioned a few “don’t miss” spots in that area. Any opinions? Santa Fe and parts of Texas after that. Thanks much!

I installed the repeater. I mounted it on the inside of my trailer frame near the front. You'll see in the pic the red terminal. That's where I picked up the 12v hot. For the black wire, I drilled and tapped a 10-32 hole and used a ground screw. I tie wrapped the repeater to a wire because the instructions say to keep the antenna off and away from metal because of interference. It's a sealed unit and completely water proof.

We'll see how well it works next week and I'll post an update.

Just a few more hours until I get to play in the rain and hook the camper to the truck and head to the top of the mountain.

Very glad to be away from water this weekend. Looks like many of the campgrounds near the river will be having some issues today and tomorrow.
