Sent u a messageSo far it has been a no-go. I flashed it back to Single Zone MTC and then tried to flash it to Dual Zone ATC, but it hasn't made a difference. It doesn't say "Procedure Completed" after each time either, so I don't know if it is even doing anything.
I'm having this same issue in 2017 2500. Infotainment is sending me another OBD Genie PN C-ACC-LD, lets hope this fixes my issue.2019 Dodge Ram 1500 Express
Purchased Infotainment Nav/Radio 5 months ago.
Paid the $274 last week for the auto AC update,
Originally the radio had auto on it, but no degrees on slider.
First attempt with update took away auto selection.
Second attempt brought back auto button and degrees on slider.
Push auto does nothing, and when you raise the temperature it stays there for a second, and then drops down to LO.
Sent video to Infotainment... hoping for help.
The Genie's don't consistently work to set this up correctly. .. and no way to verify it worked or undo it without a trip to the dealer to reflash the truck back to stock.I'm having this same issue in 2017 2500. Yeah, lesson learned. They are sending the new genie at no cost so I will see if it works and if not I will go the AlfaOBD route. The Genie's don't consistently work to set this up correctly. .. and no way to verify it worked or undo it without a trip to the dealer to reflash the truck back to stock.
Get your money back and get the AlfaOBD/OBDLink MX BT adapter setup and do it yourself.
** AlfaOBD (for activating factory features yourself. See Docs linked in OP.

If I recall, you're running a 2018 2500 HVAC module 68366553AA with your 2018 UAq 68331631Ah upgrade (in a 2013 Ram 2500)?Man, I've tried fooling my 8.4 to accept the single auto climate controls about 20 times. It seems like everything goes well, but the climate control up/down buttons and the slider on the radio just move to max hot or max cold.. If i move the slider to 82*, it just thinks for a second then slides up to max hot. Same with a cooler temp it will go max cold. And i've done everything as M2 noted, even talked to him about it a few times, but I'm at a loss.
Works normally in Single MTC, but slider and hard button max cool/hot after going to Dual ATC, and then Single ATC. I programmed in alpha, waited about 5 mins, pulled the fuse over the second battery along the firewall, left that out for about 5-10 mins, put it back in, and waited up to 24 hours. Still the same issue no matter what.
Is there anything else I need to program in maybe I skipped something?
Just wanted to update and add a little information in case someone else runs across this issue of the heated seats not working on a 2016 (and I assume 17) 2500/3500 diesel.
While trying to find a solution, since everything I have read says it should work on a 2016 I recalled that there was an issue that tuners were having with the 2018 trucks losing their heated seats after getting tuned (diesels). The issue turned out to be they were using an older base file for the tunes which was fine for everything up to a 17 but caused issues with the seats on the 18's.
My truck is tuned and the tune I have been using has been around for a while so I thought I would try and load a newer tune just to see what happens. Sure enough the newer tune was based on a updated base file and my heated seats came back. Unfortunately I cannot run the older tune which was one of my favorites if I want to keep the heated seats and the UAQ. knowing that I am assuming the older tune base file may have been a pre 15' file and that's what caused my problems?
So if you are having issues with the heated seats on a 16-17 (maybe other years?) diesel and you are tuned try a newer tune if you can and see if that works.
Just installed a 2018 non nav in my 17 2500. Everything works except my heated/cooled seats and heated steering wheel. They are grayed out. Any ideas?
Are you tuned? How long have you waited (takes a few key cycles some times)
Yes I’m tuned. I turned it on and off about 10 times
Tuning is your issue. You are most likely running a tune that was written on a pre 18 base file. Who's tunes are you running?
I just went through this myself
The 4.x series of tunes isn't bad but the 2.x are still my favorites. You should have them available to download still? Give it is a try and see if it fixes the heated seat issue. I can't 100% say it will because I did not try those but they are much newer and hopefully were built off a 2018 base file. (I have 2 tune companies in my account and tried one of the others newer tunes and the seats worked.)
If you want to explore the other option let me know and I'll get you in contact with the guy that built the module for me and see if he can help.
That fixed it. Installed 4.2. I’ll see if I like the new tune. Thank you very much. I was about ready to install my old radio back in
I honestly don't know what year to base the tune off of for your 2013ram2500 CTD... But you're in the same boat with @swoyekr and @JrocsCustoms /Jarrod R.I am tuned, having issues with temp on my factory installed dual zone ATC, the temps go either high or low after doing the upgrade.
got so frustrated i sold the radio, but after talking to Mpgrimm2, this gives me hope that is what the issue is. So i'll grab another here soon and mess around
I have a raceme ultra, i have a couple tunes i can try and see what that can get me. I will also get with the guy who made the tunes to see if i can get one newer than what mine is based off of, 2013 i assume. What year should i ask for?
I'm gonna try with the stock tune first.I honestly don't know what year to base the tune off of for your 2013ram2500 CTD... But you're in the same boat with @swoyekr and Jarrod R.
I've been told that Mopar started locking the ECM's in 2015... Your UAq is from a 2018, but if you were running stock 2013 tune/emissions I believe the UAq upgrade would work fine.
There's apparently a signal from the ECM that the 2018+ radio is looking for so it knows to reconfigure itself from the BCM settings... Engine running? RPM? IDK. ... But that signal has been disabled by the tune.
Maybe someone that understands it better can comment.

Sent you a text & email ...
Clay, you are going to have to set it back to Single Zone MTC, pull the inline radio fuse, wait for the radio to finish it's reset and start again. And you MUST WAIT for the SxM button to come back before proceeding to the next change as previously mentioned in email. The radio doesn't finish it's reset until then
Not sure what you've done yet but originally you should have gone to Dual Zone ATC first before moving on to Single Zone ATC with resets in between (see prior email or post 3)Just want to verify that if I need to reset/retry activating ATC/Single mode, I need to use Alfa to reset the setting back to Single/Manual, wait overnight, then I can set it to Single zone ATC again, correct?
(I am single zone, not dual yet)
2018 tradesman conversion to 7sp 8.4 Single ATC
I got in the truck today and had no "AUTO" (I swear it was there in my quick test)
The temp slider didn't do anything, but the hot/cold did adjust the temp of the vent, but the slider on the 8.4 didn't work, didn't move, etc.
I did turn the truck off and re-set it in Alpa (30 minutes ago) and it brought back AUTO and the slider now works...
No idea what happened (I swear I saw auto when I put this all in over the weekend), but I haven't driven the truck since I did the swap 4 days ago.
Thrashie... Any update on this?I'm gonna try with the stock tune first.
gonna put it in, let the radio sit, and then see what happens, and put the tune back on.
