I had similar issue with some Toyo Open Country A/T's recently. Went BFG KO2 route, much better now.I ran KO2's on my RAM for a while, but they didn't treat me well. Road rough, loud and scary on wet roads. I thought my wheels bearings were going bad and spent a good bit of time checking that out until I rotated the tires and figured out they were the problem. I didn't have them for 2 years and still had over 1/2 tread left when I replaced them with Coopers.
Check out date codes. Remember you got them at a good price. So may have been sitting somewhere. If you buy a popular tire at a dealer they will not be oldI bought these tires online in January of 2022 and put them on a brand new truck. No road hazard warranty. At 18K miles today I noticed a crack in a sidewall, and after inspecting all of them, 3 of them are showing cracks in the sidewall. I don't think I have been curbing them, the rims are all untouched, but I suppose anything is possible. I am attaching pictures. Obviously I need new tires, and I don't think I am going to be putting these back on.
I would love to hear your thoughts on what might be going on, as well as what tires I should put on. I do use the truck in saltwater muddy condition (see last pic) while fishing, and I love the grip of these tires, I have been able to pull out of some sketchy launched and have never even needed 4wd.
I bought them in 1/22 the date code is 4421 so they were built a couple of months before I bought them. The ebay seller I bought from turns out is a pretty big online seller (https://www.tires-easy.com/) I am convinced now that the problem came from dismounting when swapping rims and one from me hitting a curb.Check out date codes. I don't know if I'm remembering this correctly or not, but isn't Goodyear, BFG, and Cooper tires all a part of Goodyear now? I remember reading some posts on here about cracks on the sidewalls from all these brands. Quite a few years ago, BFG had an issue with tires with Ford from the factory. The tires were loosing the cap is what I recall. Now with all these brands under one banner, it's possible they all use the same process when making the tires. I hate it about Cooper's; I have a set on my 2011 Sport, and they don't have any cracks, been on the truck for about 3-4 years and still look great.
I am no expert, but I thought BFG was Michelin?

There should be a date on those some where, look like they are 10 yrs old.
I have been running the BFG All terrain for over 30 years with no issues. What do you use for air pressure?I bought these tires online in January of 2022 and put them on a brand new truck.
