I assume the truck otherwise runs fine? You mentioned CEL was on for frequent regens. Any other codes? If the injectors are “fine” and one isn’t dumping fuel into the cylinder have you verified all are within spec? Have you checked the cross-over tube? If all else checks my bet would be the rings are shot.
I suspect either it is a injector or the regen mode producing too much fuel into crank case. The truck is still under powertrain warranty I can not touch it at this point or they will void warranty. Dealer has only performed a power balance test on the injectors and thats all they said they needed to do to see if injectors were leaking lol. Everything is documented with the dealership and how they have not taken what I said seriously. Once i bring it back to them with fuel in the oil it will be I told you so. Clanking sound is still there, not near as loud but still there. Batteries being replaced didn't do ****.
I picked my truck up yesterday with them attempting to fix my regen problem. They said I was good to go, drove off the lot and what do you know regen. I went for a drive today and within 43 miles another regen. They did a stationary regen, replace mass air sensor, partical sensor recall, and reflashed the Pcm.
At this point I am tracking regen times and miles and waiting for oil level to rise.
Video of clanking a little quieter.
