    Click sound from ignition key assembly

    Mike, What you’re hearing is the actuator that keeps you from turning the key to the off position so that it cannot be removed while in any other gear but park. Mine has started making that noise as well. Not sure what to replace yet, but it is still doing its job. Just being noisy now.

    When I experienced this condition, I also had the exhaust brake system on. I don't think that would make much difference though.
