I have an 2018 Ram 2500 with the quad halogen headlights. I'm looking at upgrading the low beams, and maybe high beams and fog lights, to LED. Looking at your "H11 True LED Kit" for low beams. I have some questions.
First, there seems to be a lot of opinions on both sides of the fence, about using LEDs in the quad reflector housing, especially for low beams. Some say never to do it, you will blind oncoming traffic no matter what you do. Others say they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. Your website states "we do not recommend they be used for reflector low beams"- even though they claim to closely match the OEM halogen light pattern. Is this simply a matter of them being too bright as to blind oncoming traffic?
Help me to understand- should they be used in a reflector low beam position? I don't want to be the guy that is blinding everyone on the road. I see this all the time with people that "upgrade" their lighting without regard to the ramifications.
If they really shouldn't be used, I'll just throw in a set of H9 halogens instead- they significantly improve visibility but the lifespan obviously leaves something to be desired.
Thanks!
