Did you get the Auto-On Driver Comfort CSM on your screen? It allows you to turn On / Off the function. Pic below:

Also as far as the heated seat material type being set to "Perforated Leather", this is the setting I currently have. I originally had cloth seats with no heat or ventilation. After installing Laramie seats I enable the seats with an AE back then. Like Ricks Ram states in his post, no problems like you encountered with this setting.

Yes the Auto-on Driver Comfort CSM is there and functions 100%
All 4 heated seat buttons, heated wheel button and cooled seats buttons function 100%

I even tried setting the Heated Wheel material type to "Full Leather" (as I have the Limited Leather/Wood Steering Wheel) and still had the same issue when setting the Heated Seat Material type to "Perforated Leather"

As I have observed that 2 modules are not set in my configuration comparing to the 2017 Cummins 2500 in the shared folder, I would conclude that is my issue...

I know of two other members that have their DRLs working with the soft key CSM but they have the RA4/UAQ. I am pretty sure though that the RA2 has the soft key (remember seeing someone post a pic here?). The location should be in settings/lights on the RA2. Of course, numbers 4 and 5 would need to be set for it to appear. There will be no settings for the DRLs on the EVIC.

I just checked the settings/lights menu again and there is nothing for the DRLs there. Maybe the radio needs to be reset?

Still curious as to how they are working without the location being set? Maybe they default to ambers.

Sorry, I may not have been clear on that. The location is set, I set it to "Turn Signal DRL". The list in my post was from before I changed anything, it was to show that two of the settings were already at what was needed. Here's the "after" config:
  1. DRL Configuration: Optional DRL
  2. DRL Lamp Location: Turn Signal DRL
  3. DRL Dropout Enable: Set
  4. DRL customer setting enable/disable: Set
  5. Daytime running lights customer settings menu: Set

These are the changes I made yesterday:

Car configuration change: DRL Lamp Location: ' NONE ' -> '3 '
Car configuration change: DRL customer setting enable/disable: ' NO ' -> '1 '
Car configuration change: Daytime running lights CSM: ' NO ' -> '1 '

You could try disconnecting the battery terminals for 20+ minutes. I'll see if I can hunt down the pic I was referring to with the RA2.

So basically everything is working as it should other than you don't have the option to turn off your daytime running lights in the settings/lights of the RA2.

Are there any software updates available for your Ra2? We saw this early on when folks were adding the backup camera to their 13-17 trucks and couldn't get the grid lines menu to come up on the radio so they could turn it on. This may not be the issue, since I don't think there have been many Ra2 updates and it would be the last thing I would try since a few people have reported bricking their radios doing updates in the last year (bad flash? download? Operator error?).

Take this for what it is worth but I went ahead and called OBDGenie to ask if the RA2 radio on a 2014 Ram would have the soft key on screen to disable. He said no, the RA2 does not have the ability, only the 8.4 screens.

He did also say the 2015+ trucks would not have it on the 8.4 screen to though...we all know that isn't true.

Edit: I'll keep looking for that pic I seen but maybe I was wrong.

Edit 2: Lol yep.

I'm hoping to do some aux light wiring this weekend, if I get to that then I'll have the battery disconnected. If the option doesn't turn up before then I'll check afterwards. I've been hunting for the pic, but I haven't found it yet. I keep getting distracted re-reading the individual posts. :)

That is correct, everything is working except the control on the radio isn't there. While I'd like to have the option, it honestly doesn't bother me all that much. I don't see myself turning them on/off often.

I've checked in the past (early this year) and the UConnect site said there were no updates. I did see on a post here (I think it might have been one of yours) that had all the current versions that the version on mine is off by 1 digit at the very end of the version string (i.e. a very minor change of some sort).

Edit: Just checked the UConnect site again, it still says no updates available.

To the best of my knowledge Infotainment is correct. I have never seen the settings for the DRL lights come up on the RA2 radio. That's not to say it's never happened but I've never seen it. I know for a fact there are certain functions that the RA2 radio cannot accommodate.

I upgraded from the RA2 to the RA4
Don't remember seeing the DRL CSM setting on the RA2 either
It is available on my RA4.

Not finding it now either. It would of been here or the other forum. Maybe I was wrong. I'm going to be doing some work which will involve me removing my RA4 soon and will hook up my RA2 to see if it shows up. Granted it is a 2016 RA2.

True and I only turned mine of once since activating.

There was some confusion in my posts earlier in this thread. I have an RA2, just edited previous posts, I confused splash screen with evic logo. I have not yet purchased everything to swap to the 8.4. Still need atc conversion.

I can confirm 100% that there is a DRL setting in my RA2. I will post a picture after work. I can not remember if it was there before I went to activate my DRLs with the alfa though. I never tried before I got this tool.

That's great news. I personally have not seen the DRL setting come up on the RA2. It's awesome that yours works.

So I know some of you had be able to get the mirror tilt in reverse working .
I have the autodimming driver side mirror with power folding etc .
The Mirrors have the chrome back plate .
I have AE and a security Gate way module from z automotive which should allow me to access the bcm .
I have heated seats from factory .
No memory module in my truck I believe as don’t have button on seat for memory etc .
Do you think with my Mirrors it would work ?
Thanks in advance for any replies

Both of my mirrors are the chrome back with auto dimming. I was able with AlfaOBD to set them to tilt in reverse. I am unfamiliar with AE and security gate, so I cannot say whether they will or not. If you look at the link in my sig you can see the steps to take in the known working settings.

Thanks for the response .
So your truck does not have a memory module installed and it still tilts in reverse after you added the settings ?

Just the mirrors. I did not even change out the door modules or add the switch.

No problem. Would like to state again though that I do not know how AE will react, but yes I also have the option in the 8.4 to enable and disable the tilt in reverse.
