I sent an email to Alfaobd detailing what I am trying to do to see see if they may have any ideas what needs to be changed or if the functionality even exists

@mjf6175 The one that you posted and Rick confirmed is the one I was referring to. Here is my current BCM config.

I still have not had the setting show up but I think I have another issue as to why I would not be getting it.

FWIW on the 2016-2017 BCM control unit, "44-45 /44-46 w/sync"

On the 2013 and 2013-2017 control units, "BW4446 with synchro" is an option, so maybe thats the choice if you want 44-45 functionality.

Ghost....in a couple of hours when I get a chance I will try the setting "Static&Dynamic". I looked quickly at your file and I have set one that you do not. I pasted it below, its in the beginning of the file:

LIN Module Customer Programmable Features:
Rear View Camera Static Grid Lines Enabled: Not set
Rear View Camera Dynamic Grid Lines Enabled: Set

I have both of these set. Now when I get to that last setting we will find out if it does anything.

I’m pretty new to using alfaobd, should I be using the 2013 or 2013-2017 control unit when I make my changes?

That is correct. I am pretty sure when you make changes on the 8.4 to set it as dynamic and you go into Alfa and check it says Dynamic enabled. If I were to select static on the 8.4 then log back into Alfa it would say Static enabled. If that makes sense. It changes depending on your settings.

It's been my experience it doesn't matter which one you choose because it will default to your specific BCM...

I enabled static and active, I tried with both checked and every other possible combination, key on engine running, truck in reverse... still no cargo cam line. My cargo cam line box stays checked when I first enable it with Alfa but if I uncheck it it won’t let me check it again.

@mjf6175 When you look at your menu in the 8.4, are both of your grid lines (active and fixed) selected at the same time like scott16's image?

In my truck I enabled Active+Static grid lines. I can only select one or the other. When I try to select the second option the one that is enabled turns off. Which ever option is selected works as it should.

This may have already been covered, but has everyone actually connected the cargo camera to the linbus at the bcm to get the static line to display? The camera definitely has to be connected just like factory for the line to be projected to the camera.

My Lin is connected but unfortunately the setting to enable the cargo cam grid lines doesn't even show up to enable with the alpha tool on my 14.

I can actually enable both and they will stay checked even after an engine cycle. Dynamic overrides static though.

Ghost....as of now I do not have the option "Parkview Backup Camera Fixed Guidelines" on the 8.4. I need to change the setting we talked about which was the "Static and Dynamic" setting. I currently only have it at Dynamic. Trying to get some time to go out and change it to see what happens.

I think this may be my problem.... the infotainment harness only had power, ground and video. There was another wire coming off the harness but was not instructed to hook it to anything.

Edit: Changing my settings back as it will do no good anyway.

FYI, I'm 99.9% sure that if you're using @DeereGuy 's cargo cam harness, the Lin Bus CBC signal is connected to the camera just like the factory trucks.

Anyone here in AlfaOBD land with a factory 2500/3500 cargo cam care to help by posting your config? & Do you have the cargo cam lines?
