Does anyone not like the 2019 RAM 1500?

I really cannot stand the 5th gen's headlights and front end. What drew me towards when I was younger ram was how aggressive the trucks looked. The 5th gen really doesn't fit that bill imo. Story of how I ended up with my current truck

I do like the top of the cab tho. Sorta has a little lip there. An area manufacturers have left bland for quite some time. Trust me, I despise GM for many reasons and it hurts me to say it. The front of the new sierras are nice too. Wish the new rams had more aggressiveness to it. The rebel is the only one I can tolerate lol

Yeah, I guess that might be its only amicable attribute as far as I’m concerned but they’ve all gotten uglier as time has gone by. Even though I’m a diehard Moparian, I still find the 5th generation 1500’s to be the least hideous. Aside from that ugly hood badge, the new design in my opinion looks much better on the new heavy-duty’s.

I don’t mind the backend. As a matter of fact, I do like how the new tail lights have the integrated separate orange turn signals but it’s guess I just don’t like the front because even tho there is an amazing amount of resemblance to the Tundra and that new Ranger, it looks too much like an oversized Durango. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying I don’t like the Durango, I’m just saying that the Durango isn’t a full-size vehicle. It’s almost kind of fitting in a way for why it would look a little bit like the front end of a Charger.

i walked through the parking lot of the Ram dealership by work today. looking at all the classics, liking the colours and sports hood and all of a sudden a string of 2019s started. nope. I do not like their looks. Yes, I say it again having a true side by side look. It was like thinking your drinking a coke and it turns out its 7up. whiplash effect.

I definitely agree the back end on the trucks are not bad looking. I also really like the re designed ram emblems. I wish I could get one to fit properly on my tailgate.

I also agree with what has been said prior that a color matched grille and front bumper make the front design flaws less noticeable.

As a Mopar owner I don't like the new 2019 Ramdra 1500 front end and the smaller fender wells. As a Chevy owner i'm not exactly happy with the 19 Silverado either with all this new dynamic fuel management and its new bulky front end. an F150 is out of the picture by default as i don't think i'll ever be happy with another Ford even though some say 3rd times's a charm... not with a Ford for sure...., so If i needed a reinforcement to keep my 4th gen RAM 1500 longer i really don't need to look farther away. :)

If it came down to it, I could see myself in a new HD. I like the new front end on those. Don’t care for the hood badge but if when five, six more years comes around and I start thinking about a new truck- after they’ve hopefully moved production back over here by then, I could see one in my driveway now that they got the 8-speed.

The 19 is as homely looking as a mud fence after a bad rain.... as Mom used to say! :)

if the 19"s had a flat hood it'd look like a Ford. The Ram "bump" saves it somewhat. but they are going down a bad path. just too drastic a front end change from the legacy beefy look of the Ram.

I like the classic look, but I also dig the redesign. I think the front grill and headlight combo look killer.

When I first saw them I was thinking I would want to trade within a year or so.

After looking at them more...I'm actually VERY happy I have my 2017 Rebel. The new ones have some nice upgrades...but overall I'm not as impressed with them as I used to be.

I do want the upgraded headlights/tail lights.

I do want the 12 inch screen.

I do NOT want the engine shutting off at stop lights...I cannot stress how much I do NOT ever want this feature. This is a huge negative in my mind.

I'll keep my Gen 4 Rebel....great truck! I've driven it to British Columbia...Key West...Southern California...and next month I'm going to make a trip to the Rocky Mountains. One of the best traveling vehicles I've ever owned.

I retire in just over 4 years...truck will be paid off...and I'll be looking to move to another state. Perfect timing to maybe get another truck...probably a 2500 to attach a truck camper to. Only time will tell!

I would hope that one could turn off that start/stop BS if they didn’t want it to do that every time they stopped but if you can’t turn it off(I’m pretty sure you can, Phord made their **** where you can), just stay away from the Etorque Hemi or V6; whichever one you’d be looking at.
