What DON'T you like about your RAM?

LOL, it’s the device inside our radios that you hate so much that allows the Uconnect to auto-update itself and what allows the WiFi in the truck. It’s like a SIM card that you can add to your phone bill like you would a smart watch or an iPad.

I have the Dial = 8 speed, but can't wrap my mind around the dial shifter. That the only thing I HATE about my Ram, otherwise I love it. I grew up with center console shifters all these years... four Corvettes, four Camaros, one Challenger etc. I feel like such a ***** using it and the interior looks like its naked or missing something.... I've had this RAM for over a year now and still can't get use to the dial shifter.

Did I say I hate the dial shifter yet?

Where is the missing shifter???

I hate having to remove my antenna every time I go to the car wash.. The problem has been corrected on the 5th Gens, but it’s not enough for me to get rid of my 4th Gen..

I saw a write up on the forum about moving the column shift of a 2500 to the console. It wouldn't surprise me if you could get the console shifter for this truck and wire it in. My 2012 had one, and I thought the 13s looked strange when they came out with the dial shifter.

Dial shifters are really going to screw up a lot of snowplowers. Especially those of us that plow in first gear which is best for the transmission. Even using the rocker to shift into first now is bad enough.

There's your problem, to change gears you're not supposed to wrap your mind around it, wrap your hand around it instead, it shifts fine that way.....

The 2 top things I hate about my '16 Ram Sport rcsb is the MDS being number one. What a horrible design/idea. HATE IT! lol
(I do shut it off every single time I drive the truck. Every.Single.Time. lol)
Number 2 for me would be the ON/OFF button/knob for the stereo. How the,.............?!?!?! lol

I do LOVE my truck though.

The 65RFE/66RFE(6speed) transmission uses a mechanical shift linkage/cable, the 8HP70/8HP75(8speed) transmissions are shift by wire.
It might be possible to use the shifter from a Jeep Grand Cherokee but you may run into programming issues with the BCM/TCM

If I hated anything about my 12 sport, it's that I cant afford to do any large mods. Lifts, exhaust, tuner etc. Mainly because I have 4 vehicle loans lol the ram, 16 cherokee, 18 honda africa twin, and my 18ft searay.

Got good toys, just cant mod yet and its killin me

Yup, close second on my list. A bit of a hassle, but like you I hit the Tow/Haul button and then the Gear- button to eliminate that... a habit now and takes a couple of seconds.

So I installed the Carven Competitor exhaust on my 14 Ram with the 5.7 and I am not a big fan of the drone. I tried using the manual gear selector buttons to keep it in 8th gear but I wasn't a fan of how the truck would throw me in the last gear already when I am only going 30 mph plus. Is the tow/haul button a better alternative?
