It should be CustSetMenu1: Rear Camera CSM Present

If you tow at all, try enabling:
CustSetMenu2: Trailer
Name CSM Present
That will give you the option to have names for the trailer brake settings.
(this is the first thing that took a couple of hours to show up for me).
I enabled CustSetMenu2: Trailer Name CSM Present. It's been two days, has not shown up. Any suggestion?

You could try cycling the power to the radio or even pull the negative battery terminal off to make the radio will read the information from the BCM.

Thabk you for the suggestion. I will pull the negative battery terminal and see if that helps.

How to cycle the power to the radio?

Thank you

There's a fuse that located on a wiring harness around the front of the brake booster.

On my ‘15 with RA3 I cant get to that menu while the radio is in SAT mode. Switch to AM or FM and it is available. I dont know why but I rarely change anything in there anyway.

I disconnected the negative battery terminal for 30 seconds. Radio had been reset, looks weird, I also lost the ac. Any suggestion on how to fox that now?

Thanks

Hey guys, I finally jumped on the Alpha OBD train. Got my security module bypass from kaodtech.com and was instructed from someone at alphaobd.com to use the OBDlink EX USB cable for my laptop which is a MacBook Pro that I’m running Windows 11 with Bootcamp. Seems to work fine.

So far i’ve disabled the fog light drop out with high beams and enabled the global windows down function just for grins and giggles but I don’t know what else I can change right off hand. My truck is a 2018 limited 1500 so I don’t really have to have it to add all the other stuff to it. My turn signal does DRL‘s was already activated from a dealer but how do I set it up to where I can have the option to turn it off from the Uconnect settings, or is that even possible?

Is there anyway that I can completely disable the weather alerts on the screen and is there a way I can use alpha OBD two make my navigation to where I can enter text on the keyboard while the truck is in motion?

Right now I think I have some canbus-friendly LEDs in my license plate lights but if I was to ever put just a plain LED back in there, I would have to change the settings to where the truck knows that the bulbs that are in there are LED, correct? Also, I have an aftermarket third brake light/cargo light that is all completely LED so is there a setting that needs to be changed for that as well?

If I’m not mistaken, I think I found a video on YouTube that shows how to change the values for the ride height sensors for the guys who have the air ride suspension to where basically they can lift or level the front of the truck without having to use those aftermarket adjustable links; is this true?

If I was to go back to LED highbeams and fog lights and if I could find an LED bulb that works OK in the factory projectors, would setting all of those up for LED still require me to use all that extra stuff that comes with those lights like the igniter‘s and the anti-flicker things?

As far as the security module bypass cable goes, as long as the dealership didn’t have to do anything underneath the steering column, can I leave that bypass cable hooked up under the dash to where the dealer can still access my computer and all that stuff being that the factory OBD II port is plugged into the security module bypass cable? I guess it’s no biggie if I have to take it out but if I don’t have to, I’d rather not.

Something else I just thought of; if I was ever to replace my thermostat with like a 185 or a 180° thermostat, is there any way to change what temperature the condenser fan turns on at? And if I was to say, delete the whole entire active grill shutter, can alpha OBD turn that off so that it won’t cause a check engine light if it doesn’t see it present anymore or would I still have to buy that kit from that guy that still allows the AGS motor to work the way it needs to?

Make sure you read the whole file, it is appended not old deleted and freshly written. Well that was the way it was about 3 years ago. Haven't messed with it since.

Well first off, go to www.alphaobd.com is where you want to go to get the software and it’ll have all the links provided for you to choose whether you want a Bluetooth dongle for your truck if you have an android phone or tablet or if you plan to use your computer, they’ll have the link for the OBD link EX cable which is what plugs in between your truck and your laptop. If your laptop has Bluetooth capability, you can still use that same Bluetooth dongle that I mentioned earlier for if you have an android phone or an android tablet if you don’t want to use the cable but at least one thing about the cable, it’s about $100 cheaper than the Bluetooth one and if your truck is a 2018 or up, you'll also have to find the link in their page to www.kaodtech.com for the security module bypass cable you’ll have to have in order to use the software.

Has anyone used the 'VIN reset' feature of the Air Suspension in Alfa OBD? If so, can you tell me if the 'VIN reset' feature only resets the values for the air suspension only, or all values for the entire truck?

I've included the 2 screenshots below as a reference

This only resets the VIN values on the module and forces it to grab the VIN from the BCM / PCM. It does not work on all modules due to security levels required to clear VIN values.

It did not work for me when I installed an air suspension module in my truck. I had a friend that worked at FCA that had the engineering tools to try to clear it and that didn't work either. We had to run the "Initialize ECU" procedure to make it pickup the VIN.

Hey guys, for some reason I have a P1009 fault code that keeps popping up even after I clear it in the Body Control Module. When I click on the code, it says:

Humidity Sensor Module
Last test completed unsuccessfully
Error present
Failure warning lamp 'ON': Not requested

What does this mean? Is it bad? What do I do to get rid of it? Thanks.
