Reloader-did you have to do any extra drilling for the holes? And did that specific kit come with the shock extenders(re-locators)? Looks great!

Picking up 10000 pound fifth with brand new 2500 6.4 hemi...considerations?

Joshuaeb09 Very well said! Thanks for the confirmation. I do realize this motor will work harder and scream more than the monster Cummins, gut like I previously mentioned, I will be only towing once maybe twice a week and not even be close to the max. So far as a daily driver, I love it...

Picking up 10000 pound fifth with brand new 2500 6.4 hemi...considerations?

smurfs That is good to hear! The salesman(dealership) I was dealing with, was pretty versed in towing and hauling. He actually (to my surprise) talked me out of the Cummins after me explaining my wants and needs. He said the big diesel would work, but may be "overkill" for what I was going...

SALE on Pedal Commander at Got Exhaust

thanks guys. So I think I asked this on another thread, but when taking the truck to the dealer service shop, is everyone just completely removing the device altogether from the dash and underneath the dash before going in? And reinstalling it after getting the truck back? And also will...

How Many Miles on you 6.4 Hemi??????

Thanks for the response! Yes, I hope it does the job, like I said on its "heaviest day" it'll be loaded right at 10k, most of the time closer to 7K, once/twice a week. I will have diminishing loads as I deliver to each location after the initial pickup at destination, if that makes sense. The...

New member - seriously considering a HD Hemi

Haha. I just picked up my 6.4 last Friday. I am hoping it'll be a descent tow machine for me. A couple hills to climb between Seattle and PDX. I'll have a about 6-7k enclosed trailer behind me. Enjoy your new Monster!

How Many Miles on you 6.4 Hemi??????

There will be no way around it being enclosed Being it'll be refrigerated for my milk delivery company. I've got 2 box trucks. This set up will be be the "back up" plan if/when the other trucks are in the shop. I almost went with an Ecoboost with their "claimed" 13k capacity. But that 1/2 ton...

How Many Miles on you 6.4 Hemi??????

Well it will be an enclosed trailer, 2600lbs empty. Is it because the (lack of) aerodynamics, I'm assuming? Basically the other farm I'm dealing with is currently pulling a similar set up, and he's using a 2004 GMC Savana van. Yes he struggles up hills but that would be expected. He's almost...

How Many Miles on you 6.4 Hemi??????

I hear ya. what I failed to mention is half of that commute will be unloaded (about 2400lbs? Empty trailer) since I have to travel to the destination (150 miles away) to pick up my load and then bring back. So I think that's what the salesman took into consideration. So the truck will be used...

    The 6.4 HD Hemi Thread

So I(just) purchased my 6.4 because it was the truck my sales people recommended when I was shopping for trucks, the Cummins in particular. They advised me for what my needs were(towing up to 10k, once a week 400 mile round trip, hills and mountains all below 3600 elevation) that the big Hemi...
