I was curious, last time I checked it was when I had the 22s and a CAI and that was it....

6fbaf124.jpg

Not too bad for a little spin out of 1st and 2nd gear scratch...
I need to get my bf to drive my truck and see what it will be, he can drive a lot better than me and not spin the tires out of a dig LOL

Uh, smaller tires with the same tune(big tires) will yeild a faster than real reading...6.34 is quick. I managed 7.10 on a stock sized tire, (michelin's). Ya might try a quick tire size , retune...and try again w/ or w/out the bf.:birgits_tiredcoffee

Just got a trinity today so i figured i would go get some times. first one was 7.6 second one was 7.9. tire spin on the second one.

mod on the truck right now. CAI, powerwire, 85mm TB, tranny boost line, trinity can tune (perf.87+).

Kind of slow I relies but the tires need to be replaced with some that have decent tred, has a full tank right now, and it is just 89 octane. I think with a fresh set of tires, less fuel and a 91 tune should bring those number down close to 7.0 range.

Well got the new tires on (Nitro T555) and the fresh oil change. put the trinity to 91 octane setting and pulled a 6.69. Not to back for an 07 5.7L QC with a full tank of gas.

Injen CAI, Fastman 85mm TB, Power wire, tranny boost line wire, Diablo trinity (91octane), 2'' drop shackles.

Now to find me some headers and get some 4.56......

Had a hard time hooking the wheels up. But now I have some base times to see how the next mods help improve or not.

Took the tail gate off, spare tire off, and had about 3/4 tank fuel. next time going to get the fuel much lower. and run the 93 performance tune. found a place int SD that had 100octane. now just to do the equation for mixing 91 and 100.

07 QC 2wd 5.7
Mods: Injen CAI, power wire, 85mm TB by Fastman, tranny boost wire, trinity tuner on 91 octane, Nitto NT555 265/40r22.

You dont have to mix the gas perfectly to run that 93 octane tune. It is better to play it safe though and be on the high side.

Were you spinning on those passes?

Typically. Also if it was not obvious, I was right lane on both of those. Entry 6307. I am thinking the next thing is going to be an LSD, 4.56's, new cover for it all and Caltracs. The power is there, The traction is not....

The mods you mentioned are going to show a huge improvement in your times. Having a powerful engine doesnt do much good when you cant put that power to the ground.

And I know the mod list is starting to get up there in price, but a higher stall converter is also going to show major gains at the track. Many guys have dropped as much as .3-.5 with a converter alone.

yeah, need to get the power down first. 600hp is great, but if you can put it to the tire.... your just burning fuel and tires.

You would probably benefit from wider tires too. My R/T could spin 285 pretty easily and this new truck will spin 275 every once in a while, both were/are bone stock

Oh gotcha. My guess is 4.10 gears vs 3.55 and the different stall speeds. Plus the R/T was around half a second faster than the new truck. Now that was with stock tires, once I went to nitto 420s on the R/T it would never really spin anymore

Edit: Oh and shorter tires, 32" on the R/T vs 33" on this truck
