My search to find this on this forum has failed me...

What are the typical 1/4 gains with some simple mods?

CAI
Muffler
Headers
Etc...

More power, less weight, and more traction is what you want. There are many ways to do it, it just depends on how much money you want to spend and far you want to take it. How much time you looking to shave off?

weight reduction is a great no cost option

Long tube headers, exhaust, and tune along with an intake will be a nice bump in power and shave off a little time

Weight and traction as was mentioned are huge factors on these trucks. I agree with Nick, a full exhaust (headers to tail) with a tune would be your best choice before getting into your engine. CAI's are worthless on these trucks unless you go Vararam. So save your money on those.

Headers, tune, vararam or legmaker only, weight reduction. And if it's only a weekend warrior and DD other days nos isn't that costly lol.

With a good tune, you're looking at about 4/10's ,maybe a 1/2 sec reduction if your tuner is good. These days i'd go with HP tuners and use Ryan Hogan of Flying Ryan Performance tuning for tuning

I agree with you as well as Nick. Although, the NOS can be extremely costly if it blows your engine because it wasn’t done right or the engine wasn’t built to handle it. Lol

The Hemi will handle nitrous on the stock pistons better then it'll handle boost on the stock pistons. Lots of guys are running a 150 shot on the stock bottem end with no issues,my buddy has over 500 dragstrip passes on his 2011 stock bottem end 5.7 Challenger on a 150 shot,i have well over 500 passes on my 5.7 on a 75 shot with no issues. If you don't get stupid with nitrous,it's perfectly safe on a stock engine. I personally don't reconmend anymore then a 100 shot on a stock engine with a decent tune, but guys are proving it'll handle up to a 150 shot safely.Any more then a 100 shot though,i'd personally add a seperate stand alone fuel cell that's dedicated to the nitrous's fuel system with it's own fuel pump,as the stock fuel system is starting to be a bit taxed above a 100 shot. The idea of nitrous being hard on a stock engine,is from guys like me,who started playing with nitrous in the early 80's and experimenting in our younger days, with drilling out spray bars and not having any way of tracking the A/FR ratio, other then reading plugs, lol. I've had a few boosted engines in my day,and not one of them lasted worth ****,but i've had good luck with keeping nitrous engines alive, lol

Thanks for the info. I’m just looking for a simple This mod gained me .5. I want to run a spreadsheet to compile the data. We all know the old rule of 100lbs gives you about a tenth and long tube headers and tune and nos helps. I’m looking for concrete numbers on what the mods did to ones truck. For example. I was running 13.8 and now at 13.6 by adding this abc mod. I would imagine this data is out by now since this generation of ram has been out for awhile, but maybe not and this is just wishful thinking.

Onto the stang...a totally different animal. Hahaha. You had a nice Nice stang. . Here are most of the specs on the notch from when I sold it last year. I sometimes miss it, but I had enough of it and wanted something else.

Already told you, you're looking at 4/10 maybe 5/10's with long tubes and a good tuner. You want timeslips join facebook and i'll post them there, don't do pic's on here.My 4X4 went from 14.1's to 13.49 with long tubes and a good tune, hunt up Ryan Hogan of Flying Ryan Performance tuning,or Sean Powell /Hemifever for a good tune,Jay Greene isn't really accepting new customers these days ,so the other 2 are the go-to truck tuners these days.High Performance Rams,or Tuned Rams are both semi decent facebook pages, and you'll find more guys on them then here that are into fast trucks. What's up with you're stupid looking emojoi's all through your post, and you're stupid looking sentence about timeslips in your first post. Ever heard of the KISS principle Keep It Simple Stupid, maybe use it to keep your posts read-able,after about 2 lines of this one i quoted i quit reading it,might of been a nice build, but i'm not going to spend the time it takes to decipher whatever you're trying to write.Don't have time to spend standing on my head to read a post.

At least it was read-able wasn't it,lol. BTW that old school rule of thumb about a 100lbs= a tenth, doesn't really apply with a 5500+lb truck, like it does with a 3000lb car.The percentage of weight reduction isn't the same when the weight is almost twice that. With a 5500 lb truck it's more like 175 / 200 lb weight reduction to gain a tenth

Ok. Thanks again. Ohh and to your comment about emojis and not readable...Not sure what the hell you mean and honestly don’t care. It came out fine on Tapatalk. If you can’t understand the picture below showing what was typed for the upgrades on the mustang. It’s ok.

Thanks man. Not sure why that came out that way and yet I still don’t see that.

I just copied and pasted what was used in the ad I posted when I was selling the mustang.

I’m sure this thread will get lost and get derailed in every direction....ohh well.

Unfortunately, I don't recall doing a baseline test, but I did do:
14' sport, 4x4, quad, all options, COI (not veriram), TB, LT headers, tstat, Greene tune, and got 13.7.
Then I added 150 shot of No2, and got 12.9. I'm not at the track often, and I believe that could get better... but for now, that's what the slip says.
So, best answer, is 0.8 gain for 150shot. AND, for the record, I've gone through many 15lb bottles, and so far, the stock internals have held the 150 with no problem.
