Hi all, decided I want to do a full drop instead of a 2" rear level. I can only seem to find 2/4 drops for regular cabs....are there any 4/6 ones? My requirements are as follows:

Decent ride still
fit 275/60/r20s without cutting/modding for rubbing
Not feel like I'm riding on balloons at 100mph
Not jump around at interstate speeds if hitting bumps
all-around better handling

Could someone outline what is needed to accomplish this, please? If 4/6 is a bad idea or MUCH more hassle, I can do 2/4. I gave up on trying to keep it reversible for a warranty, and just accept that my rear end won't be covered if I drop it. On that note, is there anything mechanically that gets ruined/worn out quickly with a 4/6 drop that would make a 2/4 drop less of a PITA? Or any parts that are needed to accomplish longevity with a drop, that might not be included with a cheap drop?

Thanks so much. I have never owned a fully lowered truck, only put rear drop springs in my 2wd trucks.

Take care.

I see one from Inez, but it appears to leave a reverse rake, judging by the picture. Could I cut a 2/4 down a smidge? What else would I need on top of a McGaughys economy 2/4 or belletech 2/4?

Also, Im thinking about a 3/5 would be more than enough for me, 4/6 looks a little much.

And I keep reading about crappy ride and handling with different kits...I want to know if I can do it and not have to deal with crappy ride or sketchiness on the interstate (80mph limit).

There is Inez for 4/6. Just depends how much you cut the rear springs as to how low the back is w/ the Inez kit. People seem to be having squeaking issues from the front control arms not having grease fittings.

If you go 2/4 ride quality is going to come from better rear shocks such as Viking or QA1 & Illicit brackets. Those 2 things & a lowering kit for these trucks goes hand & hand

This is the mcgaughys deluxe 2/4 with the spindle drop on a express. Tire size 305 45 22 which is the equivalent to the stock 275 60 20 height wise20180814_163900.jpg

Thanks, yall. Will I be sacrificing ride and handling quality if I go more than 2/4?

Interesting. Maybe I should just go 4/6.

Could I cut a 2/4 to a 3/5 and still be able to get everything aligned and lined up correctly? Or, will I regret a 4/6 over a 2/4....

I say go lower then 2/4 if you are already thinking about it. This truck i have already had the 2/4 on it when i bought it. I will eventually go lower.
