My 03 SLT RC 4.7 (built Aug 02) just turned 12, and this coming April will be 12 years of ownership. I bough her brand new off the showroom floor in April 2003 when I was stationed in Jacksonville, Arkansas. She just hit 91K. Besides the Flowmaster exhaust, sport grill inserts, tint, 2" rear drop shackles and black headlamps...she's been bone stock. I was thinking of giving her a refresh and was curious as to what you guys in the community recommend, I'm open to suggestions. I'm a fan of stock, but I think it's time for a new look. I love my chrome clad flower pedals but the aluminum underneath is oxidizing up to the lips of the rims and the chrome seems to be chipping off one. I was thinking of a complete repaint to include the door handles and mirrors (the black is beat up despite my efforts), tonneau cover, 20" SRT-10 rims in either chrome or black, and a 2/4 drop. Any suggestions? Thanks...Happy Thanksgiving ;)

I would say to ditch the lettering on the tailgaite, the truck is so clean and that clutters it up. If you were to go new wheels. You could go with 13-14 ram sport wheels, would be a bit of a different look for that body style. I would also go with a stubby antenna and maybe black out the horizontal bars of the grill. I think that would be a good start and change it up.

I agree about taking the lettering off the tailgate. I like your idea of a drop an srt wheels that will really change the look of your truck.

Clean looking 02 btw

Looks good for going on 12 years of age. An SRT 10 Ram hood qould look good, you could also powder coat the wheels.

Personally, I kind of like the lettering and that's from a guy that really likes the clean look. I guess it's just different and that's what I like about it. Looks kind of old school.

If you repaint maybe thing about color matching the bumpers and grill, just an idea. New wheels always change the look of a vehicle. Can't wait to see the direction you go with it.

Thank you much. The lettering was a little nod to the tailgate styles of old...usually spelling out the make across the tailgate. But...I decided to remove the letters for the super clean look. I purchased new replacement Anzo black crystal headlamps, an Extang Blackmaxx tonneau cover, and I dipped the wheels. The dip is only temporary as i am purchasing 20" SRT-10 satin black wheels. Think even though I will repaint the truck, I'm going to keep the front/rear bumpers and grill chrome...as just some contrast. Beautiful Ram Sport by the way!

Looks great! You did a great revamp job. Mayne taillight tint to match the black of the rest of the truck. Just my .02.

Keep it looking that good and you've got a future classic right there. :favorites13:

Thanks fellas...here are a few more pics. Took these out at the local closed down airport. I'm very satisfied with how she now looks. I have plans for an SRT-10 hood or cowl induction, 20" SRT-10 satin black rims, and a fresh repaint. Performance wise, she's a 287 V8...I'm not gonna do too many upgrades to it in regards to performance besides an air intake. While the numbers on the engine aren't exactly high, after 12 years I've had zero problems and it runs like an absolute beast. Anyway...thanks again.
