14 express premium cluster upgrade

So you purchased a canadian cluster and it reads in miles? I realize your speedometer reads kms but odometer is stuck in miles?

it falls under the never ASSUME column. I ordered it from Standard Auto wreckers in Scarborough ON, and they ordered it in from a different yard in NEW YORK, USA. The guy swore it was a KPH cluster (and it is). I ASSUMED it was a Canadian truck that wrecked in the USA (and maybe it was) The problem is the ability to switch between Metric and English units is controlled in the Uconnect for the upgraded clusters, so I can't change it with my 3.0 Uconnect. The cluster remembers the last setting, so evidently the driver had switched it to miles at some point, maybe with intention of switching back when he got back to Canada.

Regardless, it is now stuck in miles till I either upgrade my radio or borrow somebody's truck and switch it to KM.

Well that is unfortunate, mine got delivered today, ill get it in this weekend. I was under the impression '13+ oem head units are NOT compatible, I've got the basic 3.0, you're saying I can swap in a 5.0 or 8.4?

FWIW, the uconnect 5.0 radio is a straight swap out for the 3.0. The phone and compass won't work but it gives you the vehicle settings that are in the evic on the base cluster

What about 3.0 to 8.4?

I forget where the thread was but the 8.4 isn't a swap out. Something involving the plugs on it.

To each their own. I found one in 3 hrs of emailing sellers on there vs. 3-4 weeks of looking on ebay not finding a single one listed! My seller emailed me a photo as well. If you're serious about wanting this upgrade I would certainly take the 5 minutes and send every seller the same email and I'm sure you'll find what you want rather easily.

I do not have a #. All this has been covered in this thread a few times.

For anyone that is interested in this cluster:

1. Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market
2. Select 2013/Ram/speedometer/country
3. 7.0 LCD"
4. Email sellers to verify mileage, cost, photo, etc.

I mean, for couple hundred bucks this is a hell of an upgrade. That premium cluster is so much nicer. I didn;t shop around much i just walked in to look at a black edition and walked out with it. If only I had known....but knowing what I do know I instantly signed up for this forum when I got home coming from challenegertalk there are always little projects like this!

Give them a call. Some of them don't update the website, and alot of them don't respond to emails. I usually call and they will let you know up front if they can supply a pic or not. Some refuse to give a picture. So move on to the next vendor at that point.

Yeah, calling works best and most of the salvage yards are not open on the weekends.

I've used car-parts many many times. I've bought brakes, seats, bumpers, shocks etc...
I was doing the same trying to find the 2013+ Projectors and LED tails, but they still want too much for them.


It sucks because the junk yards around here never have anything!!
