I have a 2015 ram 3500 with a 6.7 Cummins around 115k. I’ve always had a puff of bluish white smoke on cold start ups even during summer days. Sometimes less than others and occasionally none at all. I assumed possibly worn valve seals or injectors but now with brand new injectors and turbo, I’m leading towards valve seals. I’ve read many saying that it’s perfectly normal for a diesel to burn oil on cold start ups…but even in the summer I’ll see it. I’ve watched multiple videos of cold starts on other 6.7 and most start clean even in dead winter. It is deleted and tuned as well. Here’s a link to a video at 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

It's not impossible to see a little smoke at startup with a tune. Specifically what tune and what setting are you running? That almost looks like unburnt fuel.

I was thinking that as well, it does have a low boost fueling incorporated into the tune but I always keep it in stage 1. It’s a ezlynk tuner and tune. I think whenever I get back from work I’ll flash it back to stock and see if that reduces some smoke. Possibly the grid not working at 100% at that millage as well.
