Hi - First post here. Driving a 2015 Ram 1500 Laramie, no problems so far. Last week, a ABS warning light came on. Dash also says "service trailer brake" & "service brake system." Took it to local Dodge dealer today - I live on a small Hawaiian island and we don't have a lot of options out here.
Here's what they said on diagnostic report: "Connect to WITECH & check for DCTS. Found active ABS DTC C2200-49 antilock brake module internal electronic failure. Follow DTC flow chart. Inspect to see if hydraulic or electronic side were replaced individually; neither have been replaced. Inspect connectors & harness for damages, no problems found. Per flow chart need to replace ABS module and recheck."
They quoted $1500 for parts & labor to replace the ABS electronics.
Question to the forum - is this a reasonable quote? My only other repair option where I live is a local shop but now that I've spent $140 on diagnostics I'm not eager to repeat.
Thanks for any advice.
