OK.... so backstory, I was following my father while he had a trailer full of scrap going to a dump (Past Saturday). A tire fell off the back of his trailer. I hit it with my driver side front and back wheels at low speed. Didn't notice any damage immediately when I pulled over. So, drove on to my destination about an hour away. After that, drove to my home about another 35 minutes. Did not drive the truck the next day (Sunday). Leaving for work the following Monday, the dash lit up with the ABS light, Traction Control, and Brake lights. Used my AlphOBD to read the ABS codes and got the 3 codes in the title (U0415, U0423, C2200). I also get the stored messages for the ABS, Service Trailer Brake System, and Service Electronic Braking System.
Is there a good way, or test, to determine the cause of these codes? I am sure they are all related. I've crawled under the truck to look for loose wires/connectors and haven't been able to see anything. I thought a speed sensor fault might throw these codes, but all of my connections appear to still be good, and I can't see any visual reference as to where the tire I ran over might have hit a wire. I can see a spot on the rear of the truck where the tire hit underneath, but there are not any wires that are messed up.
Research is telling me to replace the ABS module in the engine bay for the C2200 code. I can't imagine any damage to that, just from the location of it - behind up front as compared to a runaway tire hitting the truck further back. I was hoping there might be something else to look for that may be causing all of the codes that I don't know of.
