Lol, I Imagine that ss tubing would have a tendency to tear rather than flare.
Tears, cracks, deforms unevenly, belongs in the trash.....ya know. It was a pre bent kit too, so running out of straight material sets the panic/aggravation in even quicker.

I must confess I don’t know much about brakes other than I can tackle pads and rotors on my own but I don’t know how to bleed them. I’ll prob leave the job of extending the brake lines to my local mechanic.

About half way through the first line when I ripped the flare I was debating whether or not to just say f it and crimp the line over and take it to the shop. In hindsight I would gladly pay someone else to do the job.

Sold the bumper and bought a winch. Then started on building another bumper. Have side panels and headlight bezels left to do, then some finishing work here and there. Just as I thought had to mount the winch upside down and layed on its backside to fit and had to move the control box.

I believe the filler panels from rebels and 2500 for under the headlights are a pretty close to direct fit, or are you making them?

I initially bought the ones for a 2500, not sure if I bought the wrong ones but they didn't work for me, they are much smaller.

Really? I know the grilles are different, but I guess they didn't seem that much bigger in my head.

Great job on the bumper, Raptor is a good choice I used that on my FJ with good results.

Damn. Any pictures of the winch mount? That thing looks sweet
Cross brace is 2” .250 wall square tube. Used 3/16 plate for the bolt pattern to attach the winch. 3/16 plate at frame rails with gussets. Three 1/2” grade 8 bolts to secure to frame on each side.

Fab work looks awesome! My big curiosity is how are you working the radius into your filler panels?

Lol about that... started em by pressing around a propane tank, then just little by little around my thigh. Panels aren’t really my strong suit, I can get em close but that’s all. Lack of experience and proper tools.
For the bumper panels I screwed a 2x4 to my table with a a couple pieces of cardboard underneath to leave a gap. Then slid the panel in and bent little by little to get the shape close.

Checked online and saw that the Raptor lining still hadn’t shipped yet so cancelled the order and went and bought some from Autozone, was $20 more but I’m too impatient to wait. Stuff layed down very easily with zero issues. First coat at 50 psi, second coat at 60 to help get in the hard to reach spots. Best part is I still have 2 liters of the 4 liter kit left. So may be doing the sliders with it in a couple weeks.

Oh and make sure you tarp off everything around it! Over spray is no joke with this stuff.

Dude that looks great. Did you make the winch cradle separate from the full body of the bumper?
