Quick back story on the setup.

DIY morimoto XB 35w ballast, ignitor and 4500k bulbs in factory projector headlights. Also used AlfaOBD to change BCM settings to keep the truck happy.

Everything has worked pretty much flawlessly till now. I figured being my first issue it was probably the bulbs. Took this as an opportunity to upgrade to 5k bulbs but that wasn't my issue. I was dreading it being the ballasts however both worked as expected.

Ordered a couple more ignitors for $25/per and I'm back up and running again. I took a few pics for those wanting visuals on how to place the equipment.

Inside of the headlight I now keep the ignitor as well as the High beam LED capacitor. I used a dremel to run the cables below the cap. A little dab of clear silicon keeps it sealed.

Then a couple of where I keep the ballasts.

I'll grab some shots of beam pattern hopefully this evening.

Can definitely say I'm still extremely happy with the product and the ability to see at night much better than factory equipment.

Full setup. Morimoto HID's 5000k bulbs, new ignitors, Morimoto 3 year old 35 watt ballasts. Morimoto LED 2.0 stroke high beams w decoders installed.

Very happy that Alfaobd allows these modifications without fuss!
