On my 3rd exhaust for my 2015 Ram
1st was something my parents bought me couldn't tell you what it was.
2nd 3 chamber flowmaster (best sounding so far)
3rd currently running a glass pack.

I am running turndowns and I just don't like the crackling and popping of the glass pack, my dad originally recommended 40/44 series flowmaster, but the exhaust guy said my truck would melt the baffles. Wanted to know if anyone had any personal experience with running 2 chamber with success or failure. Thanks for any and all replies

I had a super 40 on for only a few weeks. Sounded good...no idea about melting baffles. Never heard anyone complain about melting baffles. I wouldn’t worry about it. It will most likely rust out before you have to worry about baffles.

Lol melting the baffles.. .

Not a fan of flowmasters always felt like they did not give any preformance gains.

I would look a a short Magnaflow

@gdawg55 why did you only have it for a few weeks?

I liked the sound, but it seemed to affect performance too much for my liking. The muffler I had on prior was a straight thru design and the Flowmaster seemed to rob a bit of power. Truck was downshifting going up small hills where it didn’t before. Taking off from stop felt a little sluggish.

I gave it time (about 750 miles) for the computer to adjust, but it just wasn’t for me. It did sound good though and didn’t drone very much at all.
