That couldn't have been an easier project. Unbolt the bottom shock bolt and the spring comes right out. Less than an hour in the driveway. Also Plasti Dipped the wheels today while I was at it. Did them off the truck cause I wanted the backsides black also.

Just for kicks a pic with my other truck. It doesn't get driven much in the winter. Summer time only.

Looks great!

@Igolo- I'm also -2" in the rear and I pull a 32' TT all summer with 0 issues (thanks to Airlift; it couldn't be done without).
The ride is same as factory.

Yup. Cut enough coil off to drop'er 2" in the rear only and installed the Airlift 1000s. If you only ever ride empty you woudn't need them.
My wife can't tell the difference in ride quality even when towing, so it's a win.
BTW, replacement springs are pricey. If you cut yours while you save up for a set of lowering springs you've basically doubled the price of your drop.
Even if you're concerned you may not like the drop, you'd be better off just leaving your stock springs alone and getting the lowering springs so that you have stockers to go back to. I don't have that option.
My $.02

Thanks for the info. I definitely wouldn't cut my stock.. I've just been afraid to pull the trigger on dropping mine since I tow with it so much.

Do the airlifts for the Ram fit with just a 2" drop? I know the 4" drop guys go for the Durango airbags. Thanks.

What's the tongue weight of what you plan to tow?
My Sport payload is about 1320lbs, my tongue weight of the trailer is 700 and we're within 100-200lbs of max after adding people & gear on factory 20" Crapyear tires. Just throwing this in for an apples to apples.
If you have Rambox, a low or highly optioned truck etc it could alter it enough to throw my experience out the window for ya.

Don't plan on towing much but love the minor drop. It's such a minor mod but so many people notice it. Truck sits perfectly level. Just snapped this pic 2 minutes ago. Dirty truck, needs a bath.

Can't really say on tongue weight.... Every load is different for me. I sell hardwood flooring so I'm all the time throwing some in the bed or dragging a trailer around..but I'm thinking if I do drop the rear and do the helper bags I should be good to go. Of course, I'm still thinking bout the 2/4 drop...lol

I've got cut rear coils for a 2" drop and tow a 20' trailer with two Scags and the rest of my equipment with out any issues other than a little sag but I've never hit the bump stop

Might go this route myself, looks like a simple install and makes a nice aesthetic difference! Any other parts needed beyond the springs?

Lol ok a few varying opinions, has anyone else with this drop had to add additional parts? Any feedback would be appreciated guys!
