2001 5.2L mileage

So im looking at a 2nd gen. The guy says the dash reads 236,000 but the motor has 80,000. I asked if he had proof and he doesn't. I know that should be a red flag but this thing is really clean. Like not a spec of rust and its in New York. Is there any way I can pull the actual mileage from the computer?

If the mileage on the dash shows 236,000 then it has 236,000 on the chassis. When he says the engine has 80,000 then the engine was replaced for some reason. Unless he changed the cluster out at some time but that's so rare that I highly doubt it
