2003 Hemi squealing

My '03 Ram 1500 with a 5.7 Hemi is squeaking and I wanted to confirm if it was the idler pulley. The noise is always on and when I give it some gas it gets a little louder. I figured if it increased with the throttle it must be the idler pulley but I just wanted to make sure. No hurry I gotta rebuild my trans anyway. Thanks

If it increases with rpm it's like a pulley, but it could be any pulley/accessory up front, not just an idler.

Check Alt as well, mine went(pulley) at 150k miles after squeeking for 2 years, swapped before it siezed (bearing). Idler and tensioner pulley swapped at same time is a good idea, other pulley left after that I beleive is the water pump and that is prss fitted/permanent but likely not the culprit. Danny
