I tried searching through the forums but couldn't seem to find an answer.

From what I can determine the oil pressure gauge is more like an idiot light in that it's binary. There is either pressure or there isnt.

Has anyone been able to figure out how to make it show the actual pressure? Simple as just swapping the switch for a sender?

Thanks

I installed a mechanical gauge when I bought my truck 8 yrs ago , the pressures from both gauges factory and mechanical are pretty much on the money with each other. I will keep a mechanical gauge for peace of mind ,however the factory is as accurate until the sending unit stops working.
