2007 3500 5.9 security lockout

Recently tried to unlock doors with fob, nothing so I used key in driver door and security system went off. Started truck it immediately died, did this 3 times and now truck no longer turns over and security system on every time doors are opened

For the 3rd Gen trucks like yours I always lock and unlock the driver's door two times with the key and it will reset.

Then get your Key Fob fixed so you don't have to go through this in the rain.

Tried multiple times, no luck. A little more history, the truck had been occasionally cranking but not starting. I would pull the negative cables and wait for 20-30 minutes and voila!! Had not happened for a while (months) when it locked out. Now suspicious of ecu

Time to get a scan tool connected to this truck and see what is happening with the key fob and the ignition. There are several things that need to be inspected and a scan tool will give you the information you need to know so you know which direction to look.
